Since Rocksteady gave us 2009's hit
Batman: Arkham Asylum, Marvel hasn't had a real good game other then LEGO Marvel (but let's be honest, all the LEGO games are great and awesome) and
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. For the past few years, Marvel's video game department has been on a decline while DC's has been rising. Marvel has said they that have been looking for the right studio. Well they have found it in Telltale Games. On Telltale Games's Blog they announced:
Announced this evening in San Francisco, we're excited to reveal an all-new partnership with the incredible team at Marvel Entertainment. We'll be teaming up on the development of an upcoming Telltale game series project set to premiere in 2017!
As always, stay tuned here for the latest news and details on this and all of our upcoming projects as they become available...
And had the photo you see above. Nothing else other then that. Telltale Games has been involved in making games for franchises like
The Walking Dead and
Game of Thrones as well as
The Wolf Among Us based on the Fables comic. It seems as though we'll have to wait until 2017 for Marvel to arrvive on consoles but at least we know Marvel games are being developed by a good studio. It could be worse considering the past studios of Marvel games are SEGA, Activision, Capcom, and Ubisoft; Telltale Games is pretty much an upgrade from them. What are your thoughts? Are you excited or do you prefer to play your video games via Facebook and on an iPhone? Comment below. Let me know. Peace and remember...
