AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: Marvel Comics Asks "What Did Peter Do?" In Shocking New Teaser For April's Relaunch

Earlier this week, Marvel Comics announced that John Romita Jr. will return to Amazing Spider-Man this April. With Ben Reilly expected to make the move to Hollywood, the focus will return to Peter Parker as we get closer to the web-slinger's highly anticipated issue #900.

As of right now, we don't know who is going to be writing the series, but a new teaser image has been released that asks what appears to be a very important question:

"What did Peter do?"

In the page below, we see Spider-Man in the middle of a crater as mysterious purple smoke rises up around him. Some sort of explosion has obviously just taken place, with Peter seemingly the only survivor. Clinging to a mysterious spider-shaped device (could it be measuring radioactivity?), we see the hero let out what appears to be an anguished scream as he witnesses the surrounding devastation.

Marvel Comics has promised that more details will be revealed later today, so we'll hopefully find out more then about what the publisher has planned for Amazing Spider-Man in what looks set to be a new era for the character (rumour has it we'll be getting yet another new #1 issue this year).

Check out this teaser below and keep checking back here for updates.

John Romita Jr's "art" is crap. I can't make myself read Marvel's books these days anyway. Truth be told. D.C is kind of screwing up too.
