wiplash is a big gun. He was beating the crap out of WM and Iron Man. Other than that I agree.

What exactly is the difference between Superhuman and Prime Superhuman?

Black Widow is in no way super human but she can kick some ass. I guess that's sub-superhuman?

Iron Fist would whoop the shit out of Iron Man. There, I said it.

Obviously a fair amount of people are going to question these placements, so I'll just state the three I personally thought stood out.

Gaea and Loki should both be Demi-Gods and Starlord should be a class or two higher as well.

I feel like a fair bit of this isn't quite right to me. The ones that stand out especially are Iron Man and - even worse - the cinematic version of War Machine/Iron Patriot being ranked so high. Obediah, too - all really questionable choices to me.
I mean, there are a few here that I'd shift around based on personal opinion, but assuming we're using the cinematic universe versions of these characters? Those three stand out as being the worst offenders to me.

Dear god this was abysmal...im sorry i dont mean to offend but this is just too.. ugh. Why is cap and loki in the same tier when on clearly outclass the other? loki can hang with thor at times.. why are fandral and hogun in different classes than volstagg? you clearly missed when they tossed him at the destroyer armor like he was a softball. daredevil in the same tier as asgardians and extremis soldiers? same soldiers that wear tearin apart IM armors?? lol wut.. redskull (super soldier serum) in the same class as top tier asgardians like heimdall? im sorry but groot doesnt have feats comparable to the power feats of thor(summoning tornadoes?) or the pure strentgh feats of kurse(no selling thor) or abom(giving hulk a run for his money). in fact abom and hulk should be in the same tier. ultron is featless. lord knows why iron monger is so high...this is just lol. A for effort tho :s but its like no thought was put into this and they were scaled sole for their liking.

sif pushed a bus with one leg in AOS. nebula wasnt all that impressive feat wise. they should not be together. could probably argue laufey's spot. hulk does not deserve world breaker tier just yet.

@PAF agreed star lord should be higher on the one fact that he could hold the orb.
wallhead
wallhead - 9/4/2014, 4:25 PM
friggga pushed malekith's shit in, they should be in the same tier unless this is aether malektih in which case like someone said he is at least demi god. ronan...outside of having the orb had one feat...beating a drunk caveman drax...i would be hesitant to put him with thor and kurse and abom..leaving him there only because he is stronger than the class below that one. and if this is orb ronan he is at least planet breaker. crusher creel is featless and i dobut he will be all that impressive on AOS. ant man is another unknown..if he keeps his human strength when he shrinks he is not hurtin ppl like the asgardians or extremis soldiers..or...whiplash?? lol and being able to injure the other ppl in said group should be a pre requisite to be in the group. ok..im getting to nerdy over this...i just love talkin power lvls. ive said my peace :)
wallhead
wallhead - 9/4/2014, 4:54 PM
apparently i havent said my peace...lol

after looking it up, "supposedly" the four beings on the mural shown making the stones are cosmic entities death, entropy, infinity, and eternity and not the celestials as i once thought and if so should have a class of their own.

Sorry but Hulk ain't that high and Thor ain't no Demi God . His mother is the Elder God of the Earth and his father is Odin . Thor is a full God and will become even more powerful than Odin . Also isn't Thanos a Titan?

We need a CBM power chart...

I better be near the top too!

This is a fantastic idea but I agree that some of these are way off. And Odin should be if not equal to Thanos then he surely should be in the God catagory. I really do love the idea though.

All most all wrong.
WYLEEJAY
WYLEEJAY - 9/4/2014, 8:13 PM
Hawkeye and Black Widow are normal people, highly skilled, but normal.
WYLEEJAY
WYLEEJAY - 9/4/2014, 8:18 PM
Daredevil should be in the next class with Cap. He has superhuman senses that allowed his body to move with superhuman reflexes. Caps strong but not classified as superhumanly strong. Just above normal. Ant Mans film description says he shrinks in size but increases in strength so he could be in this same class. Red Skulls here too along with Winter Soldier.
WYLEEJAY
WYLEEJAY - 9/4/2014, 8:20 PM
You could also assume Star Lords there with Caps class. Hes half human and endured butt kicking by Amoral who is also in this same class. With Nebula.
WYLEEJAY
WYLEEJAY - 9/4/2014, 8:22 PM
Gamora. Sorry. Phone sucks.
WYLEEJAY
WYLEEJAY - 9/4/2014, 8:28 PM
See it makes sense to look at it in a way that you consider not just their actual strength, but also how powerful of an impact they have on the world around them. Quicksilvers definitely higher than that. All the Asgardians are the same except Odin and Thor. Sorry to say to the Iron Man haters but hes damn powerful. Thors considerably strong. And Iron Man went toe to toe with him for a minute. Sorry its a fact. But if you watch closely Thor never gets hurt. And Tonys armor wasnt gonna last much longer.
WYLEEJAY
WYLEEJAY - 9/4/2014, 8:34 PM
From the top......
The Cosmic Entities
Odin
Thanos
Thor
Hulk

Thats if Thanos is as powerful as he is in the comics. We have already seen Odin just lose his eye to a Frost Giant. So he can be killed. We have yet to see Thor really demonstrate his true power, and Hulks strength is said to possibly be limitless the madder he gets.

The MCU is still too young to really accurately place most of these characters yet. We dont have a strength scale the way the comics do.
AstonishingArachnid
AstonishingArachnid - 9/5/2014, 12:18 AM
Some of you have some very valid points but let me explain a few things. The Iron man armour in the MCU is OP as all hell, being able to of toe to toe with Thor. Now right now we don't know of he was holding back or not but it still is a testament to its power. Second this a rough approximation with some much needed input so thanks for all the feedback. Also I should explain the classes. Basic means basic human level with no special attributes. Sub Superhuman means that the character has an enhancement that allows them to battle on the level of a superhuman, however are not superhuman themselves (Hawkeye's accuracy, Falcons wingback). Superhuman implies that they have a superhuman ability which is greater than that of a basic or sub (Ant Man shrinking, Quickslivers speed). Prime Superhuman is mostly attributed to strength which is why Super Soldiers, Aliens and Asgardians make up this class. A Big Gun is some one who has a larger capacity for power (Scarlet Witchs's power, Iron Man armour, Absorbing Man's power). Demigod indicates that there are very little people who can fight with these characters one on one as they are incredibly powerful. I think Planetbreaker and Godlike are self explanatory. Also The Hulk has a larger capacity for strength than Abomination as the Hulk is constantly growing in strength, therefore he is stronger.

I would have changed a lot around on that.

I really can't understand this grid. It's like you're comparing apples to oranges to bananas to kiwis to etc. There are too many different types of powers being compared here. It seems like the grid is based on physical strength/durability, but then you put some characters in categories where they shouldn't be.

You place The Hulk in class 7. You place Scarlet Witch in class 5. You place Quicksilver in class 3. You place Hawkeye in class 2. If this grid was going by physical strength/durability, then Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Hawkeye should all be class 1 because they all have normal human strength/durability (based on the comics because we haven't seen too much of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in the movies).

If Scarlet Witch is being judged by her Hex (Magic) Powers, then why wouldn't she be in class 6? Because she is better at magic than The Abomination and Groot.

If Quicksilver is being judged by his speed, then why wouldn't he be in class 6 also? Because he is faster than The Abomination and Groot.

If Hawkeye is being judged by his marksmanship, then why wouldn't he be in class 6 also? Because he is a better marksman than The Abomination and Groot.

It's like you're trying to make a power grid for rock, paper, scissors.

Just out of curiosity, if Xavier and Jean Grey were in the MCU, where would you place them on this grid?

P.S.

I just want to point out how cool it is that we can have discussions like this with comic book movies now. Imagine trying to come up with a power grid like this for the stupid FOX-Men movies. Wolverine would be class 8 and everybody else would be class 0. [frick]ing stupid.

Revert and reboot.
Marvel Studios 4 lyfe.
AstonishingArachnid
AstonishingArachnid - 9/5/2014, 10:23 AM
@NitPicker to put it in more simpler terms it's theoretically who can beat who in a fight. For example Hulk could do battle with everyone below a Class 7 and win.
