I know it's a little late, but i just finished reading this week's comics. Now, keep in mind, I don't get everything that came out this week, but I did get a few things. Here's what I thought of this week's comics:
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #0.1: This was one that I wasn't sure if I would like it or not. I know nothing about GOTG, but I wanted find out a little bit about them before the movie comes out; and I figured this would be a good place to start. Now, the plot of this issue concerns the origin of Star-Lord. It deals with how he learns about his Spartax bloodline, and about how the Badoon attempted to kill him as a child. Now, as I said before, I know nothing about GOTG. So this issue did a good job of introducing new readers to the universe. The art is very good, and I can't wait for the next issue.

BEFORE WATCHMEN: DR. MANHATTAN #4:
I like all the BEFORE WATCHMEN titles, and DR.MANHATTAN is a title that I just didn't like as much as some others. I feel like the plot was very drawn out, and all in all, really wasn't that important to developing the character of the WATCHMEN universe. This issue was good, and one of my favorites from the mini-series. It concerns Dr. Manhattan seeking Ozymandias' help in the problem that has been developing over the series (too long to explain in detail here). That's it. It's basically a wrap-up issue. However, the ending was awesome. It shows what Manhattan does after leaving Earth at the end of WATCHMEN. That was cool to see him creating his new universe.

Series as a whole: 3/5
DEADPOOL KILLUSTRATED #2:
Deadpool continues killing classic literary characters, such as Tom Sawyer and Dracula, to name a few. That's pretty much it. Not much story development, besides the last two pages (which I won't spoil here). However, it's a fun issue with some great art. And Deadpool cracks a few jokes. Now, keep in mind that KILLUSTRATED is a more serious version of Deadpool. I'm fine with that, I think it's a good series, but I still like the main Deadpool series more.

INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US #2:
This was one of the highlights of my comics this week. I loved the first issue, I thought the story and art was fantastic, in my opinion. This issue shows the breaking of Superman after last issue's finale (again, I won't spoil anything). He commits shocking acts of violence, and in the end, decides that he's going to end war once and for all. The art and writing was great, and the end left me anticipating issue 3.
5/5
BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT #17:
In this issue, Batman attempts to track down the Mad Hatter as he kidnaps Gotham's children. The art is very good, and the writer does a great job of making the Mad Hatter a scary and ruthless villain. This series has improved vastly since the beginning story arc back in late 2011-early 2012, and I am glad I stuck with it.

Now keeping mind, this is all my opinion. What did you think of this week's comics? Leave a comment below.
