After I warched Captain America the Winter Soldier, I was kind of confused on how they said it was better than this movie or better than that. I got caught up in the hype machine and the comparing game, and it distracted my enjoymant of the movie.

When I was growing up I loved Superman 1 and Superman 2, I worshiped them. Then Batman 89 came and I watched that and loved that movie. But I remember now when I was growing up I never compared the movies. They each were awesome in their own right and uniquely different and distintive. Those were pure times for me, and I didn't even dare compare the three to see which onne was better I loved then all for one reason or another.

We are in a blessed time to have all these great comic book movies being made with such passion and hard work and detail, that the only thing as a perosn that only lives once, is to be thankful for them and enjoy them as much as you can.

I apologize for being opinionated and over critical at times, but it is just my passion for the movies, because I have an eye for making movies as well. But I remeber my childhood and it was much simpler than. I feel that is the only way to enjoy this glorious time that we are in. To enjoy these movies to the best of our ability and not compare.

The movies are all awesome and unique and different in there own way. And if you look at it that way, you can see the light in all of them, and it shines like Gold.

This is the Golden One

Stay Golden guys

Great philosophy! Personally I try to always see the best in comic book movies, because I just love the characters. I can enjoy most of them for what they are even if they aren't great.

Couldn't agree more, comparisons should be kept where they belong, the men's locker room

At least CBMs shouldn't be compared. Because I can pick practically every disaster blockbuster movie and compare it to another easily.

As great as TWS was it was almost painfully hard not to compare it to TDK, so many similar things took me out of it at times.

The people who instigate these comparisons are lazy members of the press and loser fanboys.
i love that my childhood heroes are being brought to the screen properly. Cap2 is awesome the recent wolverine was awesome too. Man of steel was epic. Now waiting for TASM2 and upcoming xmen. To me its an amazing time for us CBM fans.

A better comparison of winter soldier is with terminator 2. At no point was i watching it thinking of mos or tdk or indeed thor or iron man. Its it own thing.

I find it to be a sort of celebration when a movie is great enough to be compared to some of the greatest of its class. That's what makes things special. That's why we have things that are good, and things that are bad. Everything should be compared. Just because a comparison happens, doesn't mean we are taking anything away from either one of them.

Some think TWS is the greatest cbm ever. Others think it's TDK. I say you can't go wrong with either. I just can't wait for TWS to come out on blu ray, so I can marathon them both back to back. Instant bliss.

@Markofthedemon

TDK was awesome, but I do think TWS is a better and more well rounded cbm. With TDK, it's quality comes nearly entirely from heath. TWS's greatness is hard to pinpoint to one particular thing. It just did so man different things well. I also thought Hydra's plans (acting villain), were more methodical and menacing. And that's saying something considering joker's plans in TDK. Though again, they're both so close its basically a toss up. And I feel I should post a CAP trailer with all the TDK ones going around. =P

Only time you should compare is comparing a good cbm to a bad one, see no reason to compare good cbm's together ;) ; D
