2011 will certainly be a good year for us comic book fans at the movies. Along with the great Marvel and DC adaptations we also get to see Cowboys & Aliens come to life. There have been some cast additions and other updates coming out this past week or so. I thought I would round them up for you.
Casting Additions:
Adam Beach and Wes Studi have been cast this week in, as of yet, unnamed roles. Also, last week Keith Carradine has been added to the stellar cast of Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde, Sam Rockwell, Noah Ringer, Paul Dano and Clancy Brown.
Shooting Schedule:
It has already been reported that shooting will commence in June. Sounds like things are right on track.

It is still to be determined at to who will get top billing, Harrison Ford or Daniel Craig. C & A's facebook page is stating
"That probably won't be determined until after the movie is shot and edited." At this point their parts are said to be fairly equal.
Platinum Studios, who did the original comic, is starting to move forward with many film adaptations of their works.
Deadline recently announced:
"ICM has signed Platinum Studios, with the mission to help the entertainment company create film projects from its vast library of 5600 comic book characters. Platinum Studios was started by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, who brokered the original deal for 'Men in Black' when he ran Malibu Comics. After years of trying the movie version of the Platinum Comics title 'Cowboys & Aliens' has become a tent pole being made in partnership between DreamWorks, Universal and Imagine..."
DogsOfWar- The premise looks to be solid and the movie already has an exceptional director and cast. At this point C & A will be the last CBM to be released next year. I am looking forward to seeing this. Also, I finally got going on Twitter so click on the image below and check it out.
