Vincent D'Onofrio reprised the role of Wilson Fisk, aka The Kingpin, for the recent Hawkeye Disney+ series, and the character looks set to cast his immense shadow over the small-screen corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the years to come.
A new report doing the rounds has indicated that production on Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to commence early next year and continue right through to the end of 2023. Shortly after the rumor began to circulate, D'Onofrio took to Instagram to share a scene from the now defunct Netflix Daredevil series that should be very familiar to fans of the show.
D'Onofrio delivered several memorable monologues over the course of the series, but this menacing musing on the biblical parable of The Good Samaritan from the season 1 finale shows Fisk at his most intense and intimidating.
We're not sure if D'Onofrio posted this to coincide with the production report or if it's entirely coincidental, but either way, it serves as an ominous tease of the villain's imminent return.
Fisk will serve as the main antagonist of Born Again, but he will also feature in Hawkeye spin-off, Echo, which wrapped shooting back in August.
In the Hawkeye season finale, Wilson's "niece" Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) shot him after discovering that the crime-lord was responsible for the death of her father. Reports indicate that the Kingpin will be sporting a patch upon his return after taking the bullet in the eye.
