DEADPOOL 2 Star Zazie Beetz Stuns In New Photoshoot; Is Domino Actually A Villain In The Movie?
Zazie Beetz looks set to hit the big time after playing Domino in the Deadpool sequel and as well as some incredible new photos, details on her three-picture deal and villain status have been revealed.
The Hollywood Reporter has a very interesting profile up on Deadpool 2 star Zazie Beetz and with that comes some incredible photos of the beautiful Atlanta actress (a series the trade notes that put her on Ryan Reynolds' radar when he cast her as Domino). Interestingly, they also point out that she's playing a villain but that's not officially confirmed at this stage and could be speculation on their part!
It's also mentioned that she signed a three-picture deal which is likely to incorporate the planned X-Force movie (assuming Fox has chance to make it before the Disney deal is made 100% official).
Here, you'll find a must-see gallery of images alongside various details and comments from Beetz's profile. Among the tidbits revealed here are her history with comic books and just how quickly she ended up being cast after meeting with Reynolds. So, click below to check it out and stay tuned for further updates on the movie as we have them...after all, it is coming a month sooner now.
Beetz had to undergo two months of intense training before shooting started and that continued for four hours a day during production as well. " I didn't really work out that much," she confessed about her schedule before being cast as Domino in the sequel. "So it was a huge transition emotionally and physically ... just something I hadn't felt before. [I'd] never really brought myself that far."
Amazingly, Reynolds decided to cast Beetz after just a single meeting, something which is interesting considering the fact that we heard so many different names were being considered for the role!
As for Beetz's interest in comic books, she confesses to not really knowing all that much about the Marvel or DC Universes. However, she is a reader of Calvin and Hobbes, something she describes as "the classic not-comic-book-reader’s comic." We know from experience that being a fan isn't a make or break component of whether or not an actor is capable of delivering a great performance.
