The Deadpool sequel is bringing back Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead while also introducing Cable, Domino and the villainous Black Tom Cassidy. With such a large cast and other returning supporting characters like Blind Al, Weasel, Vanessa and Dopinder, one would think that Colossus and Negasonic would take a backseat to Deadpool's X-Force teammates.
However, Colossus voice actor Stefan Kapicic is teasing that the organic steel clad X-Man will surprisingly have an expanded role.
"[Colossus] didn't have time at all in the X-Men movies and he's one of the iconic characters. He needed that space, and thank God [Director] Tim Miller and Ryan and Fox decided to give him a spot, which will continue to grow. That's the thing I can say … the sequel will answer many questions, which people are asking right now. Because all the questions I can see on the net are answered in the sequel."
As David Leitch takes over for Tim Miller, Kapicic had nothing but praise for the John Wick and Atomic Blonde helmer. "The way he is working with me, how to bring more of Colossus is unbelievable. He just relaxes you and is so intelligent and is a visionary. Which you can see through his movies."
Kapcic mentions that all of the fanboy questions circulating around the internet will be answered in the sequel so what do you think is the most pressing issue the film need's to address? Let us know in the comment section below.
Deadpool 2 is currently filming and hits theaters on June 1, 2018. As previously mentioned, David Leitch replaces Tim Miller as director but Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick returned to pen the script. Also returning are Kapicic and Brianna Hildebrand as the X-Men members Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
