Marvel Studios released the first trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine during the Super Bowl earlier this month and it took no time at all for the sneak peek to break records.
After a rough 2023 which saw Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels underperform, we're sure Disney is hoping that's a sign of things to come for the threequel. After all, if the early hype is anything to go by, there's a good chance this will be the first MCU movie since Spider-Man: No Way Home to hit the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office.
Now, it appears another sneak peek will drop imminently. According to a BBFC listing (the British Board of Film Classification is the UK's version of the MPA), a new Deadpool & Wolverine trailer was classified earlier today.
Described as "Trailer C," it will run for 1 minute and 34 seconds and is rated 12A, which is the equivalent of PG-13. For clarity, "Trailer A" was the one released online last Sunday and "Trailer B" was the sanitised version without the blood and f-bombs.
This may be just a shortened sneak peek which will play exclusively in UK cinemas (which, unfortunately, is probably the most likely outcome), but we're hoping this means a new look at the movie is set to drop online any day now.
We expect Deadpool & Wolverine to feature an unconventional marketing campaign with Ryan Reynolds involved so who knows what might be in store for us.
Shawn Levy directs Deadpool & Wolverine, which stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen. The movie is written by Ryan Reynolds & Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick & Zeb Wells & Shawn Levy.
The trades have confirmed that Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra, with Wesley Snipes, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Dafne Keen, Channing Tatum, Blake Lively and, as we mentioned above, even singer Taylor Swift among those rumoured to make an appearance.
Kevin Feige, Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy and Lauren Shuler Donner produce with Louis D’Esposito, Wendy Jacobson, Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, George Dewey, Simon Kinberg and Jonathon Komack Martin serving as executive producers.
Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine arrives in theaters on July 26, and will be available in IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, Cinemark XD and premium screens everywhere.
