Happy Best Friends Day!
To celebrate, Marvel Studios has released an awesome new one-minute extended TV trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine, offering a ton of never-before-seen new footage as the Merc with a Mouth (Ryan Reynolds) teams up with Weapon X (Hugh Jackman) to take on the exceedingly dangerous Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin) and save the multiverse - and their friends - before it's all too late.
While the latest promo still doesn't offer a first look at Jackman's fan-favorite mutant sporting his iconic mask, it does give us our first official look at Lady Deadpool... or, at least, her feet, but it's our first visual confirmation that she will indeed appear in the upcoming superhero feature. Now, as for who's playing her, that's anyone's guess, but the rumor mill has been heavily pointing in the direction of Reynolds' real-life wife Blake Lively or singer/songwriter Taylor Swift, who is a close family friend to Reynolds and Lively.
Plus, it looks like we also have confirmation on Juggernaut and it sure seems like it's the same costume Vinnie Jones wore in X-Men: The Last Stand, despite the actor recently denying he would be appearing... So, yeah, might be best not to believe everything you hear, especially at this time of year.
In addition to Reynolds and Jackman, the confirmed supporting cast consists of Karan Soni ("Dopinder"), Leslie Uggams ("Blind Al"), Morena Baccarin ("Vanessa Carlysle"), Stefan Kapičić ("Piotr Rasputin/Colossus"), Rob Delaney ("Peter W."), Brianna Hildebrand ("Eloise Phimister/Negasonic Teenage Warhead"), Shioli Kutsuna ("Yukio"), Emma Corrin ("Cassandra Nova"), Matthew Macfadyen ("Paradox"), Jennifer Garner ("Elektra"), Peggy ("Dogpool"), Lewis Tan ("Shatterstar"), Aaron Stanford ("John Allerdyce/Pyro"), and Rob McElhenney.
Several former X-Men and Marvel/Fox cast members as well as a handful of MCU veterans have also been rumored to appear in various capacities - head over HERE to learn out more about who may (or may not) appear in the upcoming Marvel blockbuster.
The original Avengers - Chris Evans ("Steve Rogers/Captain America"), Robert Downey Jr. ("Tony Stark/Iron Man"), Chris Hemsworth ("Thor Odinson"), Mark Ruffalo ("Bruce Banner/Hulk"), Scarlett Johansson ("Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow"), and Jeremy Renner ("Clint Barton Hawkeye") - will also appear, albeit only via archival footage from their previous MCU adventures.
Whether any of them will appear in new scenes remains to be seen, but it should be noted that Chris Evans did previously cameo in Free Guy, a favor which Ryan Reynolds repaid in Ghosted, so it wouldn't exactly be a stretch for Reynolds and Levy to cook up another surprise... or six.
