James Marsden was great and self-depreciating in the entertaining Amazon show Jury Duty. It would be fun to see him in a comic-accurate Cyclops outfit for a redemption cameo.

@mountainman - Saw that show with my gf and it really really grew on me. Marsden’s so likeable, and idk how you can watch the show and not fall in love with Ron. Really was a surprisingly wholesome show

@mountainman - Jury Duty was fantastic!

@tmp3 - Yeah my wife and I had it as a palette cleanser between heavier shows and both enjoyed it quite a bit.

Super fun and Marsden was really likable in it.

I’ve never been a huge fan of his acting, but I’m willing to see more of him (including another crack at Cyclops) after that.

Who is Paradox?

@tb86 - I was asking myself the same thing.

Apparently he was created by Dr. Strange in the 90's as a backup SS of sorts. I honestly don't remember him at all.

Ok, hear me out... while im excited for this movie.... all these expected/rumoured 'cameos' are giving me Dr Strange MoM flash backs.

Remember all the rumours that got us hyped and then how it actually played out? It was significantly dumbed down to what was expected. Not Marvel studios fault.

I think I'm going do myself a favour and try to avoid DP3 news from now on. I'll probably get tired of it before even seeing it. I want this one to be a treat.

I mentioned in a prior article that I feel like Deadpool went around time and corrected "Fox's mistakes" and successfully crafted a shared cinematic universe with The X-Men, Fantastic 4, Daredevil, Elektra, and other random heroes. And he created so many branches in time that the TVA has to step in
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 7/10/2023, 5:42 PM
@SonOfAGif - you're saying he did it already? Like what he did in Deadpool 2 and it lead to this movie?
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 7/10/2023, 6:29 PM
@MyCoolYoung @SonOfAGif

I think this is most likely it. All the time traveling that Deadpool did at the end of DP2 has gotten the attention of the TVA, so they are going to show up and it will be a crazy chase through the Multiverse with. Ending with Wolverine going back to the Fox-Verse and Deadpool being allowed to stay in the MCU.
SonOfAGif
SonOfAGif - 7/10/2023, 6:52 PM
@MyCoolYoung - Yeah. Let's give Deadpool 2 the timeline treatment and say it took place in his universe in 2018. It is now 2024 which gave him 6 years to rewrite his universe's history. And he can claim he did it because of how terrible of a job Fox did. So in the 6 years he completely reconned X-Men The Last Stand, Logan, Elektra dying in Daredevil, and The Fantastic 4. And his universe has the X-Men, Fantastic 4, X-Force, and Daredevil and Elektra. And because of all his retconning it created so many branches in time and space that his universe is now colliding with others and on the verge of an Incursion.

@SonOfAGif - the thing is if you bring in the OG x-men with Famke, etc then you can't refer to them as 'terrible or mistake'... they have to go out with style.
SonOfAGif
SonOfAGif - 7/10/2023, 9:14 PM
@JonC - And that's the point. Wade loved the cast but hated their "destiny" if that makes sense. In his head he hated how Fox wrote the movies and did the X-Men dirty. So he went around time and fixed their mistakes. He did it unregulated and careless of the consequences. Now he created this perfect timeline where all these heroes co-exist and it will get pruned by the TVA because he is the reason multiple Incursions are happening.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 7/11/2023, 12:33 AM
@SonOfAGif - I like that. Or maybe he never stepped messing with different timelines since Deadpool 2 and since he who remains is taken out it’s created an imbalance in the timelines.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 7/11/2023, 12:39 AM
@CorndogBurglar - that would be dope. Saying goodbye to everyone would have to be the emotional core of the movie. Each Deadpool movie has had one

"we'll have to assume for now that the only returning actor from Deadpool 2 is Rob Delaney as Peter W. Status: Confirmed"
Assumptions are confirmations now? What.

I love this suit. BUT...why are we doing this now? Why aren't we just waiting for the MCU Wolverine to debut a comic accurate suit? I feel like this is actually a disservice to what's to come for the MCU X-Men.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 7/10/2023, 6:32 PM
@Tonic24k - I see both sides. I don't disagree with you. But I can also see the entertainment value in teaming Wolvie and Deadpool up together. Especially with Deadpool making all the Wolverine references in DP 1 and 2.

Plus, you would think it will print money. People love Deadpool. People love Wolverine. And people love Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. It's kind if a no-brainer.

And it's just more multiverse shenanigans. We could make the same argument about Mr. Fantastic in Dr. Strange 2. There was no need for that either.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 7/10/2023, 6:34 PM
@Tonic24k - Also, as cool as this suit is, why do I get the feeling we won't see the mask? And even if we do, it will only be for 1 scene.

Also, if they are doing the yellow and blue suit here, it makes me think we'll get the tan and brown suit in the MCU. Which I'm all for. That's my favorite Wolverine costume.
LSHF
LSHF - 7/10/2023, 7:43 PM
@Tonic24k - Maybe b because they don't plan on using the "comic accurate" suit in the MCU?
Tonic24k
Tonic24k - 7/11/2023, 9:05 AM
@CorndogBurglar - I thought about that too. MCU going more origin story with the brown and orange and then doing the X-men color scheme later.

But yeah, same page with the multiverse shenanigans. I love the MCU...but this isn't my favorite mode of storytelling. I think its just necessary to canonically make sense of real life changes under the Marvel umbrella. Daredevil characters, Fox characters, and unfortunately the still-living Sony characters.
Tonic24k
Tonic24k - 7/11/2023, 9:07 AM
@LSHF - Don't put that evil on me! Lol. They better be. I mean Feige is a known huge fan of the 90s cartoon. He's gotta come super correct with the MCU X-Men.
