Deadpool 3 will be the first R-Rated movie produced by Marvel Studios and one that, if recent reports are to be believed, will take the Merc with the Mouth and Wolverine on a trip through the Multiverse.
As well as exploring Fox's X-Men Universe, we're guessing these unlikely allies will eventually find themselves stranded in the MCU. It's an exciting prospect, but many fans have questioned whether Disney will allow this franchise to continue pushing those R-Rated boundaries.
During a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Dopinder actor Karan Soni (who recently portrayed Spider-Man India in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse) revealed whether he's noticed any big creative changes while working on the threequel.
"I have begun working on that one, so I can say that it is the same as the other two. It's like hard R. There's a lot of that stuff. So it does not feel different," the actor confirmed. "The only thing that, for me, is different is that I have not gotten the script this time."
"The other two, we did get it, it's a big difference, at least for me, the MCU part of it vs. the Fox/Marvel part of it. They're so strict. So I've only seen glimpses of what I'm in. When I did some of the stuff, I saw some things that I didn't know were in the thing."
If cast members are only receiving their part of the script, that likely means Deadpool 3 is packed full of big surprises. While somewhat in the dark about what's to come, Soni was quick to later praise Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy.
"[Ryan] and [director] Shawn [Levy], they work so well together, that I think it will be really exciting for people to see how they take the collaborations that they've done, now successfully twice, in this new version and play in this massive sandbox with a lot of stuff. It is very, very exciting."
With set photos continuing to find their way online, we're hoping a first look at Deadpool 3 might head our way sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, with Marvel Studios skipping San Diego Comic-Con, it won't be there that we get any sort of sneak peek!
Deadpool 3 is set to be released in theaters on May 3, 2024.
