Simon Kinberg Says DEADPOOL 2 Will Address The Current State Of Comic Book Movies

Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 2. will address the current state of the comic book movie genre according to producer Simon Kinberg. Surely it has to take a jab at the current Rotten Tomatoes drama?

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are currently writing the Deadpool sequel screenplay ahead of the film's early-2017 shoot date.  With Cable confirmed to join the Merc with a Mouth in the sequel, Simon Kinberg told /Film at today's Summer TCA Press Tour that the film will also address (poke fun at) the current state of superhero movie genre.  Said KInberg, "I think Deadpool 2 will comment on anything that’s happening in movies today especially in superhero movies.  The sort of glut or saturation of these movies and the proliferation of sequels is definitely something we’ll play around with."

What are the chances that Wade Wilson pokes fun at the current Rotten Tomatoes/Suicide Squad drama?  There's certainly enough material here for a few hilarious jokes with fans launching a petition to shut the aggregate website down and a special few convinced that Disney is paying for bad reviews.
