UPDATE: Ryan Reynolds Teases DEADPOOL Via Twitter And Seemingly Confirms He's In The Movie
Ryan Reynolds has taken to his newly created Twitter account to seemingly confirm that he will be reprising the role of the Merc With The Mouth in 2016's Deadpool movie with a teaser image and the promise that "It's Chimichanga Time." His return has been confirmed!
So, how should we take this Tweet? It's certainly possible that Ryan Reynolds is confirming that he's officially part of the 2016 movie, especially as you have to imagine that production will begin early next year. It was always hard to imagine the actor not being part of Deadpool of course, but so many years have passed, it wouldn't have been TOO surprising if he'd chosen to move on. Thankfully, that doesn't appear to be the case! So, how excited are you guys for the movie?
UPDATE: Deadline now reports that Fox is closing a deal with Ryan Reynolds to return as Deadpool, explaining the reason for the Tweet above! Tim Miller is directing with a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The site adds that the plan is for production to begin in March. Exciting, eh?
