Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a busy man these days. When not promoting upcoming movies, he’s busy in production meetings for future movies he’s set to star in, like Disney’s Jungle Cruise.
The Jumanji star will once again return to the jungle, this time in Disney’s movie adaptation of its popular Disney ride of the same name. Today, the actor shared a behind-the-scenes photo of one of the film’s production meetings. In addition to the photo, Johnson shared some details about the talented team of individuals working on the film.
“Kicked off the week strong at Disney Studios with these talented cowboys as we refine story and character for our movie next up: JUNGLE CRUISE. The guy I’m talking to is our writer, Michael Green who was just nominated for an Academy Award for writing LOGAN. He unfortunately, didn’t win, but he did start this meeting by throwing cookies across the room screaming, “You want our Jungle Cruise? I’ll give you your Jungle Cruise!” Good start.”
It already sounds like Jungle Cruise will be a wild ride! Unfortunately, Johnson’s co-star Emily Blunt, who is starring in Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns, is missing from the photo; but, Johnson promises there will be plenty of time for her to grow tired of him.
Not much is known about Disney’s Jungle Cruise movie, which is understandable considering the team is still refining the story, but Johnson recently compared it to an Indiana Jones-like adventure. Jungle Cruise doesn’t yet have a release date.
