We're now just one month away from the release of Peter Pan and Wendy, and Disney has debuted a huge batch of character posters for its latest live-action remake.

The banners spotlight every major (and minor, for that matter) player in this latest adaptation of the classic tale, including Captain Hook, Smee and their crew, the Lost Boys, Tinkerbell, Tiger-Lilly, and, of course, the titular pair, Peter Pan and Wendy Darling.

Check out the posters at the links below, and let us know if you're looking forward to Peter Pan and Wendy in the comments.

Peter Pan & Wendy introduces Wendy Darling, a young girl afraid to leave her childhood home behind, who meets Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up. Alongside her brothers and a tiny fairy, Tinker Bell, she travels with Peter to the magical world of Neverland. There, she encounters an evil pirate captain, Captain Hook, and embarks on a thrilling and dangerous adventure that will change her life forever.

The film stars Jude Law (Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore), Alexander Molony (The Reluctant Landlord), Ever Anderson (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter), Yara Shahidi (Grown-ish), Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Joshua Pickering (A Discovery of Witches), Jacobi Jupe, Molly Parker (House of Cards), Alan Tudyk (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), and Jim Gaffigan (The Jim Gaffigan Show).

Peter Pan and Wendy is directed by David Lowery from a screenplay by David Lowery & Toby Halbrooks (The Green Knight) based on the novel by J. M. Barrie and the animated film Peter Pan.

The movie is set to premiere on Disney+ on April 28.

Looks like a wonderful movie FOR KIDS. Emphasis on the demographic it's targeted towards, not grown men
Origame
Origame - 3/30/2023, 6:21 AM
@Vigor - kids enjoy color. Not this muted sh!t.

Also, kids understand it's stupid to call your group "lost boys" when they aren't all boys.
Vigor
Vigor - 3/30/2023, 6:26 AM
@Origame - it is fairly muted. I haven't seen a trailer so I don't know if that's what they went with for the whole movie or just these posters

Yeah I was a little confused about the name considering there are girls there too. But perhaps they were all "boys" originally, and so they called themselves Lost Boys. But then overtime they let girls into their ranks, and never changed their group name 🤷🏾‍♂️

Origame - 3/30/2023, 6:36 AM
@Vigor - so, wait wait wait...

You're criticizing people for speaking against this movie when you haven't even seen the trailer?

Vigor
Vigor - 3/30/2023, 7:25 AM
@Origame - I've seen posters and images. But didn't even know it had a trailer. Thats how poorly it's been marketed in my opinion
Origame
Origame - 3/30/2023, 7:46 AM
@Vigor - yet you still feel like you can judge people for not liking it...
Arthorious
Arthorious - 3/30/2023, 9:40 AM
@Vigor - reminds me of little rascals near the end of the movie when the he man woman hater club had girls in it. I forgot what they changed the name to.

SATW42 - 3/30/2023, 9:42 AM
@Origame - Pretty sure they just said it looks good for kids. Then said that's the target demographic. It really is amazing how insecure you are that every time someone says something is for kids you get defensive.

It's ok, you still big strong man reading this while you wait for the pre-workout to kick in.
Origame
Origame - 3/30/2023, 10:08 AM
@SATW42 - says it looks good for the target audience...yet didn't bother seeing the trailer to tell how it looked.

And I'm not getting defensive over him pointing out its for kids. The "not grown men" comment is saying he's bashing men for saying anything negative about it.
Vigor
Vigor - 3/30/2023, 10:40 AM
@Origame - I never said people can't have an opinion, positive or negative. My comment was specifically towards those who would complain about tinkerbell being race swapped. Grown [especially white] men will be the loudest detractors.

But this movie is made for the next generation. Little multi colored girls and boys. Yet here we are, grown men arguing about a kid focused disney movie lol
Vigor
Vigor - 3/30/2023, 10:41 AM
@SATW42 - origame teaches kids as his profession. Which is funny because his reading comprehensive sure is lacking
Vigor
Vigor - 3/30/2023, 10:43 AM
@Arthorious - that's how I view it as well. A Neverland kid gang composed of just boys is fine in the 80s and 90s. But in todays world an exclusively boys only club seems a little out of place. And let's face it. It's 2023

They would get more backlash for changing the name of the club than if they just made it boys only. So they kept the name and modernized it
Conservatives are losing their shit
Origame
Origame - 3/30/2023, 10:53 AM
@Vigor - first of all, you said you aren't telling people they can't have their opinion, then you shame them for having an opinion you don't like.

And good job relegating this to the race and gender of the people involved yet black people and women hate this too.

And fine, they don't know the original. Just make something original for them. Why does it have to be a property their parents would know instead? Especially with the severe lack of original content for this generation.
Origame
Origame - 3/30/2023, 10:54 AM
@Vigor - you literally admitted to everything I said you said, yet apparently I suck at reading comprehension 🤣
SATW42
SATW42 - 3/30/2023, 10:54 AM
@Vigor - conservatives have to focus on this. Without distractions like Peter Pan they’d have to actually think about kids dying in schools and shit
DarthOmega
DarthOmega - 3/30/2023, 11:04 AM
@SATW42 - Can you tell me what kids dying in schools have to do with this? I can randomly pick any comment you make. Good or bad on any article. Look at the date. See if anything terrible and significant happened in this country at that time. And say to you "You can be worried about (insert tragedy here) but you choose to be here arguing this."

This website could be running stories about the tragedy. Every other entertainment website can run endless stories about it. Why do you think they don't? Why do you think people are here discussing the new Peter Pan film, and not a shooting? Could it be because this article isn't about the shooting? Is it possible that someone who votes differently than you can discuss an article, arrive at a different conclusion, and still worry about something totally unrelated at another time and place?

Or is everything just Conservatives=Bad?
SATW42
SATW42 - 3/30/2023, 11:09 AM
@DarthOmega - right now, as a fiscal conservative myself, conservatives = bad. Yes that’s accurate.

To quote another user “don’t bother talking anymore, you ain’t gunna change my mind.” It’s just my opinion that conservatives suck. They let the radicals take over, and they distract the news cycle with controversies that don’t matter like this, mermaids and book readings so the real news gets pushed to the bottom.

Mind you, I don’t mind a good distraction myself, but I usually distract myself with things I like and not “I need a break, I’m gunna go complain about blacks in my movies”
Origame
Origame - 3/30/2023, 11:13 AM
@SATW42 - stop dictating what people use to distract themselves.
SATW42
SATW42 - 3/30/2023, 11:16 AM
@Origame - stop dictating what roles actors can take based on sex and race.
Vigor
Vigor - 3/30/2023, 11:19 AM
@Origame - they're doing it for nostalgia purposes, which is all the rage now it seems. People raised in the 90s like me now have kids. And you'll notice a lot of late 80s and 90s decade media is being revived so that the grown millenials spend money (nostalgia) for their "kids", but it's also nostalgia that's driving it

Coming up with original things unfortunately fails. Look how much money top gun 2 made. A sequel. Lets compare it to the latest disney/Pixar (who historically put out money makers) original releases. Original is fun and great but if people are spending their money on IPs they feel comfortable with, then it's not worth the investment

Sorry for the long answer. But amidst your terrible takes, I felt you brought up a good point at the end there
SATW42
SATW42 - 3/30/2023, 11:20 AM
@Origame - or, if you're so upset about the Lost Boys having girls in the group not making any sense, kindly see yourself over to a "The Boys" post and complain about how Kamikio is a member of The Boys and is a girl.
DarthOmega
DarthOmega - 3/30/2023, 11:26 AM
@SATW42 - You're on an article about Peter Pan. Freakin Peter Pan man. I get it. You don't like Conservatives. You make this clear in damn near every article you're on. But dragging a school shooting and dead kids into it is odd af. Ease back.
SATW42
SATW42 - 3/30/2023, 11:33 AM
@DarthOmega - it was in direct response to another user saying conservatives have lost their minds over dumb shit like this. I simply gave a reason why they focus on these dumb things, which you just implied yourself was dumb by pointing out it's "freakin Peter Pan"

Sorry it struck a nerve for you
Origame
Origame - 3/30/2023, 11:34 AM
@SATW42 - so then you would be fine with a white tchalla.

What? You apparently think any actor can take any role regardless of race or gender.
DarthOmega
DarthOmega - 3/30/2023, 11:38 AM
@SATW42 - Yeah it is incredibly dumb. It's Peter Pan. But your hatred for Conservatives has blinded you so much you bring it up all the time, and you bring up extremes like this recent event and said "Instead of..." It's completely unrelated and adds to the villain caricature of your political rivals. It's all incredible dumb. That shooting has a lot of blame and worry to go around, but none of that has to do with Pan.
Origame
Origame - 3/30/2023, 11:41 AM
@Vigor - 1) so it is being made to appeal to adults. That's who feels nostalgia. Also, you'd think appealing to nostalgia means they'd try to make it look like the original. And Peter, the lost boys, and tinker bell didn't look like this, and I wouldn't know that's who they were supposed to be if they didn't say so.

2) tell that to John wick. Came out of nowhere and did amazingly, spawning a brand new franchise. Not to mention frozen, meaning this isn't exclusive to adult movies. It's laziness that's the problem, not originality.

3) dude, you insist on calling people out for their views on a project when you still haven't seen the trailer. You are the prince of bad takes on this thread.
Origame
Origame - 3/30/2023, 11:50 AM
@SATW42 - dude, they explained in the show why that was. It started as exclusive guys, then they found kamiko. Kamiko at first wasn't trusted specifically because she was outside of what the group was (specifically being a super, but her being an Asian woman further alienated her). Then she slowly built their trust until near the end of the series. As opposed to here, where the question of why a group called the lost boys has girls is met with a "so?"

And I think it's funny you're insisting they should be lost boys, yet as far as the source says that means these girls are dumb 🤣. Good positive role models.
SATW42
SATW42 - 3/30/2023, 12:29 PM
@Origame - sigh, I know you think you got me here Tucker, but I've answered stuff like this before. T'Challa, Luke Cage, Storm, their race is part of who they are as a character.

Just like Magneto's race is part of who he is (I'm really interested to see how the MCU handles this one. The comics have the luxury of living out of time, the MCU doesn't. Outside of pulling him from a different timeline, it's going to be a real hard sell to have him be a Holocaust survivor, especially adding 5 years to whenever the x-men show up)

Origame
Origame - 3/30/2023, 12:44 PM
@SATW42 - to all that, I'll just repeat what you said to me:

Stop dictating what roles actors can take based on race or gender.

All that character sh!t is just more dictating who can play the role.

I can list off character reasons for why they need to be white (and I have for others, yet you chose to ignore that). But it doesn't matter. Your point was just about dictating the roles.

Also, funny you should mention magneto because there's already talk about making him and Charles black.
SATW42
SATW42 - 3/30/2023, 12:50 PM
@Origame - "I can list off character reasons for why they need to be white"

Maybe give me just one example and give me one CHARACTER reason for Tinker Bell to be white.
Origame
Origame - 3/30/2023, 12:53 PM
@SATW42 - ...because everyone in neverland is from pre ww2 London. So same as tchalla.
SATW42
SATW42 - 3/30/2023, 1:00 PM
@Origame - ah so you don't know the source material. If you really were a traditionalist to the source material, you'd want her to be a spot of light. She wasn't made to have any human features until the animated movie.

You should be complaining about the original movie making her anything but a flittering light
Origame
Origame - 3/30/2023, 1:07 PM
@SATW42 - I was talking about the characters.

However, having a character simply being a ball of light may work for a book, but you simply can't convey much emotions that way. Hence why they based her design around traditional European fairies. European, aka white.

Also, stop trying to bring the book into this. It just reminds us your push for girl lost boys means you want dumb girls being represented 🤣
