I swear to god something is wrong with my eyes. Everyone keeps saying the effects of these movies are incredible and that it looks like "They are really there" I'll admit the environments look great, but the animals all look like they are made of clay to me.

How many monkey paws do I have to burn through to get Billy Eichner in the goddamn MCU, though?

@Spock0Clock - Who would you like him to be?

@RegularPoochie - I'll trust Sarah Finn with the particulars, but when all of the Eternals fancasting was going on, I did start to fall in love with him as Starfox.

It barely looks like their mouths are moving, just voices over footage of animals.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - alot of trailers just have voice overs over random scenes

@theprophet - You can tell the "they're local" bit is the actual scene, and still it looks like they are not creating those sounds at all.

OT: J.A. Bayona directing amazon's billion dollar LOTR show. For those who don't know, he's done The Orphanage, The Impossible, A Monster Calls, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

@tmp3 - He's only directing the initial 2 episodes, btw.

Does anyone worry that Disney is trying to avoid at all cost showing the characters moving their mouths?

Timon and Pumbaa definitely getting a spin off Prequel or Sequel.
Hopefully directed by Ron Howard (ok kidding on that one.)

Question: Is anyone else having trouble with the audio on this site lately? Everything for me is muted.

@MosquitoFarmer - Did you mute the tab? Sometimes that happens.

@Spock0Clock - Bingo! Didn't know that was something that could be done, muting a site in general. Must've clicked it by addident.

What's this obsession over mouth movement all of a sudden? Where was this argument for any other movie that had talking animals? Or is this just because its Disney? People will really grasp for straws when they can't find a legitimate reason not to like something.

It's going to be interesting to see how they make photo-realistic animals emote while talking. I wasn't seeing much of that from this clip.

I know John did a good job of that with The Jungle Book, but this movie looks like a further step up in terms of making the animals look more realistic. It's just going to be an intriguing movie to watch.
