In an effort to avoid spoilers for it's upcoming blockbuster, Disney and Marvel Studios looks to give Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness the same treatment it did for Avengers: Endgame back in 2019. Speculation has run rampant for the better part of 2 years about what fans can expect from the reality bending sequel, and the studios seem content to let fans sweat it out a bit longer.

Fandango insider Erik Davis broke the news earlier today, adding that " "No one sees the full film until 5/2. Reactions will follow the premiere. Reviews to drop the next morning. This is due to spoilers & Keeping the surprises hidden till as close to release as possible."

The films premiere is currnetly scheduled for Monday, May 5th, with wide release coming later that week. Disappointing as this may be for some, this means that fans hoping to avoid the many spoilers coming from this film will only need to keep their guards up for 3 days.

To restore a world where everything is changing, Strange seeks help from his ally Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme, and the Avengers' most powerful Scarlet Witch, Wanda. But a terrible threat looms over humanity and the entire universe that no longer can be done by their power alone. Even more surprising, the greatest threat in the universe looks exactly like Doctor Strange.

Doesn't bode well, but they've earned the benefit of doubt to keep from going full panic mode.

Now, queue the panic mode.

Maybe that's going a bit overboard. I mean if they're that concerned about reviewers spoiling it, they should just enforce an embargo.

It does feel like this movie could have lots of surprises. I'm even thinking about going opening weekend which i haven't done for a very long time.
