DOCTOR STRANGE "Could Use An Avenger" In Exciting New IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Teaser

Tickets for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are set to go on sale this coming Wednesday, and Marvel Studios has debuted a teaser promo for the sequel featuring plenty of exciting new footage.

It's just been revealed that tickets for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are set to go on sale on Wednesday, April 6, and Marvel Studios (via Fandango's Erik Davis) has debuted a brand new teaser to accompany the announcement.

The promo is brief, but it does contain quite a bit of new footage, as the (former) Sorcerer Supreme (Benedict Cumberbatch) tells the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) that he "could use an Avenger." Wanda points out that she's not the only Avenger out there, but Strange clearly feels she could use the win after the events of WandaVision, and presents her with an opportunity to get "back on a lunchbox."

The spot also features another shot of that mysterious flying Variant (most likely Maria Rambeau), and a huge creature who might well be the rumored Chthon seemingly fighting alongside Wanda and Wong.

In addition, we have a confirmed run-time of 2 hours, 6 minutes, which is quite a bit shorter than rumored!

In Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron.

The Doctor Strange sequel releases in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2022.

Did they ever confirm who that demon is? Looks like either Chthon or Cyttorak

@comicfan100 - doubt it's either of them. Just some generic guardian type monster. There's actually 2 in the shot with Wanda and Wong. The one behind wong but there's a 2nd one just behind Wanda too if you pause it

@SummersEssex -
That's the big question. Where does she wind up in the end? Is she redeemed or destroyed.

I think she may be a tool of the big bad but no, not the big bad.

@SummersEssex

It’s been all but confirmed she’s the antagonist of the movie and I’m pretty sure that scene happens early on.

@SummersEssex - I think a variant Doctor Strange is the big bad. It fits the “polar opposite” motif Marvel uses.

@SummersEssex - I kinda assumed main Wanda was never gonna be the villain, but instead the Westview variant we saw in one of the trailers. So I guess yes and no is my answer to your question
