Though Top Gun: Maverick will likely have something to say about this when it hits theaters next Friday, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has managed to remain at the top of the global box office for the third week in a row.
According to the latest BO figures, Sam Raimi's mind-bending sequel's domestic total has reached $342 million. Along with the movie's $460 international cume, its worldwide total has climbed to over $800 million.
There's a decent chance Doctor Strange 2 will become the second "pandemic era" movie to reach £1 billion after Spider-Man: No Way Home, but again, Mr. Cruise will be staking his claim to those all-important theater seats next week and is sure to knock the latest MCU adventure off the #1 spot.
