Marvel Studios dropped a brand new trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness tonight as the Super Bowl got underway, and while it doesn't fully reveal any of the big surprises the sequel is said to have in store, there are a few huge teases!
The trailer gives us a much better idea of what to expect from the plot, as the (former) Sorcerer Supreme is put on trial for tampering with the fabric of reality in Spider-Man: No Way Home. There are some truly insane looking shots in here, and director Sam Raimi appears to have been given the opportunity to bring some of his horror sensibilities to this latest MCU adventure.
Some of the things Marvel aficionados will want to watch out for are Scarlet Witch doing battle with a mysterious character who might be either Nova or a Captain Marvel Variant, apparent confirmation of a Wanda heel turn, a monstrous Doctor Strange Variant, and, most intriguingly, a very familiar-sounding voice!
Is that Patrick Stewart's Charles Xavier standing (well, sitting) just out of shot? Check out the trailer below along with a new poster, and let us know what you think.
