More Cool DOCTOR STRANGE Set Vids And Pics Featuring 'Baron Mordo' And Sorcerer Supreme

Is Chiwetel Ejiofor's Baron Mordo getting physical (or sorcerous?) with Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange in one of the latest photos from the Nepal set of Doctor Strange? Check it out after the jump where you'll also find interesting set footage with them interacting.

Principal photography on Doctor Strange took a break yesterday after wrapping up in Nepal. However, the day before had brought our first look at Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo filming alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange. And now additional set photos and some interesting set footage have surfaced from that shoot. Featuring Strange being followed, or perhaps guided, by Mordo before the two exchange unheard words, the videos can be watched below.

It's also worth mentioning that during their day off yesterday, both Benedict Cumberbatch and Chiwetel Ejiofor, as well as some Doctor Strange crew members had visited the Shechen Monastery which is one of six main Nyingma monasteries of Tibet. There, they had received white scarfs called khatas which is an ancient Tibetan tradition that symbolizes purity of intention and aspiration.

Even though it's been confirmed that Strange will not be tied to the Tibet culture like in the comics, it's pretty cool to see Cumberbatch and co. at least learn about it for the movie. Anyhow, you can check out photos from that visit below as well. With filming in Nepal completed, Doctor Strange is rumored to be moving production to China before England next month. What do you think?

I'm finally realizing that we're going to have an MCU Avengers team of the following in Phase 4:

Ant-Man
Wasp
Black Panther
Captain Marvel
Doctor Strange
Spider-Man

Maybe:
Captain America
Thor
Hulk

My, how times change.

Love Mordo's costume.

If Marvel wants this to play in China, they need to be careful about the Tibet issue.

Can't wait for that

After over 10 years of Iron Man being the center of the MCU (By the time Infinity Wars part 2 hits) I'll really be looking forward to a change

Can't wait to see how Infinity Wars plays out

Still wish it would've been Luke Evans. But I'm coming around to Cabbagepatch as Strange.

Derrickson is still the biggest thing keeping me interested. And the phenomenal cast.

I was referring to the comment in the article that they are downplaying the Tibetan elements of Strange's origin.

You know how you can kinda feel how a movie is going "off the rails" when it's still in front of the cameras (-like, say, Fantastic Four)? Well I have the OPPOSITE feeling here with "Dr. Strange. This looks to be head-and-shoulders far above anything Marvel has done so far. This movie is going to kick major ass.
It feels so great to be excited again for something associated with this shitty comics medium with all the crap Marvel Comics (-and DC) foists apon the public (although Marvel STUDIOS has a great track record!)
Kick ass, Feige!

The general public would go crazy for an Iron Man 4. Iron Man 3 was extremely well-received.

Looks great so far. I have to admit I don't know how to feel about Mordo not being a transylvanian nobleman, and the Ancient One not being an old Asian guy. Hope it will be for the best. Also, I'm wondering if Wong will be in this movie at all, I've heard nothing about him.
I'm still really excited, but also a bit nervous, cause Doc strange is a personal favorite of mine. This movie better not be disappointing!

Man Im more interested in seeing how they will pull this movie off then some other projects... The realm of Magic is a tricky one MCU hasn't totally touched upon... Some slight trickery from Loki, but I can't wait to see the spells and enchantments and how they will CGI some of the magic, I hope we see the spells like Alchemy...

Im jumping the gun in my own head but Id like a combination of full Metal Alchemist, Dr Strange Animated movie and Harry Potter ..

@CharlyZarkov has it been confirmed that Mordo won't be "Baron Mordo" or a nobleman. I can understand not being from Transylvania (which could still work), but kinda hoping the rest is spot on.

I have read the first bit of the Oath storyline for Strange and honestly, if this movie takes its cues from that story, the movie is guaranteed to be amazing, seriously people, if you do not know Strange very well start with that.
