We're back for CinemaCon Day 3!

Today's festivities kick off with Walt Disney Studios, who should have plenty to show considering their massive 2022 theatrical lineup, which is toplined by a trifecta of Marvel Studios releases: Sam Raimi's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and Thunder, and Ryan Coogler's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. 

It's also been confirmed the first official look at James Cameron's long-awaited Avatar 2 will be revealed today, and it seems like a safe bet we'll also be getting footage from James Mangold's Indiana Jones 5.

All I want is a picture of a logo.

And maybe the team roster and who is playing them all. And possibly who the villain is. And when/where they will start filming. The release date would be nice. And if they could tell me whether or not I'll survive long enough to watch it.

All of that would suffice. I think that's more than reasonable.

And the last D23 didn't they mention something like "we haven't even said anything about mutants yet". Or something like that?

Maybe this year we'll get a little something.

@CorndogBurglar - pretty much yep. they haven't said anything. idk if it's to build hype, let the sour taste of the foxmen pass, or for us to focus on 2022/2023 phase 4... but they haven't said sh*t lol

@MotherGooseUPus - I mean, I get it. There are a lot of movies to get through before X-Men. I mean, all we have for F4 is a logo lol.

And Fox-Men were popular movies, despite a lot of people not liking them. So it makes sense to give it time to wear off.

But dammit, the X-Men are favorite comic characters. They are what got me into comics as a tiny burglar of corndogs all those 35 years ago. I need my X-Men.

@CorndogBurglar - I'm thinking the X-Men reveal will be in story form. Unlike the F4 announcement.

I honestly thought Eternals was going to at least hint at an "x-gene". But it seems our first glance will be via multiverse with Professor X.

As someone that grew up on the X-Men comics and animated series...I'm highly anticipating MCU's iteration. (I resent Fox for their pitiful attempts.) But I am admittedly worried introducing them by way of multiversal shenanigans is a mistake. Too much of this starts to seem like a cop out for compelling storytelling. I'd love a tease in a post credit scene. Or even an esoteric expose from a character with special insight on the matter.

But yes, I'm with you. I want a proper X-Men soon!

@Tonic24k - I couldn't agree more! If mutants or the X-Men show up in their mainstay MCU forms through multiverse shenanigans or something to do with Thanos' snap, I'll be very disappointed.

Marvel knows what they're doing. Introducing the XMEN right now would be a mistake of epic proportions.

It's to soon. If the MCU was hurting than perfect. But that's not the case. The worse thing they could do is start resting on laurels. While they have the hot hand continue to expand the AAA roster. Remember Marvel dominated cinema without the XMEN. Their former A team. No need to shoot yourself in the foot launching the XMEN to early.

Also the XMEN needs time to breath after 20+ years of movies. Let em breath while introducing Namor, Quasar, Nova etc...

Just chill i'm sure Marvel will give the entire MCU to the XMEN when the time comes

@TheHumanSpider2 - No, we're getting Fox-Men Xavier. Probably a variant version, but still. He's almost guaranteed to not be the MCU Xavier.

That's the same as saying we got Green Goblin in the MCU simply because the Fox version showed up in No Way Home.

Not the same thing.

I remember when back in 2018 I said "you are not getting the MCU X-Men until 2027", and people here laughed...

Out of that list of movies, I'm only interested in Doctor Strange 2,Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3,Avatar 2,maybe Ant-Man 3 and Thor 4.
