As Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness starts hitting big screens across the world, it's fair to say that excitement for Marvel Studios' latest blockbuster is incredibly high.

With comments disabled on the studio's social media and YouTube accounts in an effort to avoid spoilers deliberately being dropped where people might inadvertently see them, it's clear Marvel, Kevin Feige, and director Sam Raimi want us to head into this one and be genuinely surprised.

Hopefully, that will be the case, and this final trailer for the movie only serves to leave us even more excited. It's a tad spoilery in places, but there's nothing here that should ruin the experience. Recapping recent events for both Doctor Strange and the Scarlet Witch, it wraps up with some action-packed footage that points to this sequel pulling out all the stops and taking us on a wild ride.

Check out the final Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer below:

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Marvel Cinematic Universe unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. We'll journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

The movie's cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Loki Head Writer Michael Waldron.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now playing in theaters!

I was honestly a bit dissapointed when i saw it yesterday. The plot was meh, pulled a Daenerys when it comes to Wandas arc, Strange didnt even have any character development like at all. Doesnt really explore the multiverse that much, they visit 2 tops i think. Bringing Xavier into the multiverse and not inroduce mutants into the MCU was a missed opportunity, his cameo was pointless. The movie wasnt great nor shit, it was just ok. Visually great though

SPOILERS!

@RokoVII - Disagreed. Wanda's turn to villainy was well jutified and set up by the events of previous movies and WandaVision. Daenerys just suddenly went all mad queen and started slaughtering innocents because. . . fan theories? Wanda was never evil per se, just misguided and lost with a sight and reason.

@Odin - Daenerys' entire mission throughout the entire show was to invade and take over. That was her goal. If anything, her having a quick change if heart for a few episodes was the weird thing. But when she tried it the peaceful way she realized that the people were never going to support her. So she flipped back again.

I never understand how people that watched GoT were so surprised that Daenerys did what she did. We knew that was her goal for the entire series. There were plenty of things to hate about the last 2 seasons of GoT, but Daenerys turning heel was not one of them.

@RokoVII - I’ll see it for Olsen, whom I love. Benedict Cumberbatch has always given me the shits.

@TheShape9859 - Why not go by yourself? If you wanna hang out with your buddy, hang out with your buddy, don't go see a movie where others will get disturbed if you guys talk.

I really wonder what Derrickson's movie would've looked like. Doubt he would've had the same large focus on Wanda and Chavez as this trailer alone already has

@bkmeijer1 - yeah, i think he wanted a horror movie focused only on strange, imo Raimi delivered on the horror aspect and most visuals we're on point, i doubt he would come back to redo the first movie if they continue on that stinger, only see him coming back if they do nightmare

@Waddles - kinda doubt it. Unless they let him do Nightmare, but I think right now Dormammu (and Mordo) is who's Strange is gonna fight in the threequel

@ElricReturns - the only thing bothering me is

Why was Jupiter's Legacy so bad?

@bkmeijer1 - I kind of enjoyed it, tbh. Wouldn’t have minded a second season.

@BestAtWhatIDo - I did like the stuff set in the past, so I wouldn't mind it if they moved ahead with Jupiter's Circle instead. The present day stuff was just too incoherent to get invested in whatsoever in my opinion

Visually it was one of the better looking MCU movies.
Hands down.

I was worried MS's modus operandi was going to hijack Raimi's touch but nope, Raimi managed to express himself without any problems while also telling a story for MS.
Win-win.

What they did with Wanda was ballsy af.

Visually one of the best things you will ever watch. Magic was surreal.
Raimi kept this mess together as well as he could have. Waldron did a poor job writing.

But above all. They ruined Doctor Strange by forcing Wanda on us. She had as much if not more time than Strange at least that's how it felt to me. The Illuminati was a joke. The multiverse was a joke.

Strange had no character development and they made him look like a loser, again.

I'm furious beyond words as a Strange fan. They did him so dirty.
What if made him look so damn good and I was salivating at the thought of that translating to the big screen. And then we get this mess. We get this simp Strange. Felt like Strange was a damn side character in his 2nd damn movie.
This movie just showed me how much Feige really cares about this character. Very little.

I'll go cry in a corner.

@Typhoon20 - I wouldn't have minded all the extra characters, if it all serviced Strange's arc (like how all characters serviced Peter in No Way Home).

Sucks that we didn't get peak Strange this time around. I've yet to see No Way Home or Multiverse of Madness, but right now my favorite Strange outing is still Infinity War's:

1. Infinity War
2. What If
3. Doctor Strange
4. Ragnarok
5. Endgame

Just finished watching it. Its a non stop ride right from the beginning. The title of the movie doesn't fit. Not much madness and not much multiverse stuff, not as much as we want. Its def not for the little kids. They made Strange kinda douchey again which feels like a step backwards from Infinity war/Endgame. I think Strange fits better as a co star than the main character.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 5/5/2022, 7:44 AM
@micvalpro - He would be fine as a main character if they just wrote him correctly and gave him his own story to deal with.

Make a movie of him needing to take down Dormammu or Shuma Gorath. Don't make them afterthoughts in movies with less interesting things going on. These are two of his biggest and worst villains. Yet they've been relegated down to nobodies.

And can we just get the real deal, wise sorcerer Strange? He's been in the MCU long enough. I'm tired of Wong being the more rational and competent one.
BestAtWhatIDo
BestAtWhatIDo - 5/5/2022, 7:50 AM
@CorndogBurglar - That’s been my fundamental issue with their handling of Strange since day 1. He obviously needs an arc and can’t be a perfect Obi-Wan-esque mentor figure, but they turned him into Tony Stark v2. It’s tedious.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 5/5/2022, 7:59 AM
@BestAtWhatIDo - Well, to be fair, Dr Strange was an arrogant doctor before he became Sorcerer Supreme. So the first movie made sense. But to your point, it feels like they've kept him in the same place. He hasn't appeared to have made any real progress. He's now been in a fee movies and he's made no headway into becoming the calm, collected, wise sorcerer that he should be.

His best outing was in Infinity War, by a long shot. Because he actually looked like he had moved forward in that movie. But now it's like he too two steps back and is still just no where near what he should be.
