Barry Keoghan, who is set to play Druig in Marvel's Eternals, was reportedly the victim of an assault over the weekend after a night out in Galway, Ireland.

According to the Sunday World, the actor was found outside Galway's G Hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning, and was said to be in a pretty bad way. He was then taken to Galway University Hospital, where he was treated for facial injuries, which were described as "serious" but "non-life-threatening."

Galway police are looking into the matter, but no arrests have been made.

Keoghan is back in Ireland to begin filming for Martin McDonagh's The Banshees of Inisherin, which also stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. The actor was spotted around the city, and is said to have left a local bar shortly before the incident occurred.

Keoghan's reps have declined to comment, and since the source is a little sketchy (the tabloid is an absolute rag, to be frank), we're going to take this report with a pinch of salt until we learn more about the incident. Whatever happened, we hope Barry is doing okay and wish him a speedy recovery.

Marvel's Eternals also stars Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as the cosmic-powered Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Salma Hayak as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as the eternally young Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena. Kit Harrington will also appear as Dane Whitman, aka Black Knight.

The Marvel Studios movie features an exciting new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind's most ancient enemy, The Deviants.

Eternals is set to hit theaters on November 4.
