ETERNALS: Lexus Commercial Directed By AVENGERS: ENDGAME Helmers Highlights Kumail Nanjiani's Kingo

Marvel Studios and Lexus have once again teamed up for a commercial that sees Kumail Nanjiani's Kingo take centre stage ahead of Eternals' release in theaters on November 5.

In this two-minute short, Kingo has to solve a very human problem before he can join the epic superhero battle happening downtown: trying to find a safe parking spot for his new Lexus IS 500 F SPORT Performance, the most powerful IS ever, with a 472-horsepower naturally aspirated V8 engine.

Titled "Parking Spot," the commercial was helmed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the filmmakers behind movies like Avengers: Endgame and Captain America: Civil War

There are lots of fun nods and Easter Eggs to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be found here, and in order to achieve the level of VFX viewers expect from this shared world, Lexus enlisted the Oscar-winning visual effects company Framestore. Needless to say, they pulled out all the stops for this one!

"We’re thrilled to partner with Lexus to give viewers an early look at one of our new heroes, Kumail Nanjiani’s Kingo, in action. Lexus’ creative campaign is appropriately epic, delivering the same combination of action, spectacle, and humor our fans will see in the film," said Mindy Hamilton, SVP, Global Partnership Marketing at Marvel Studios, in a statement today.

Well at least it’s a Lexus commercial this time, and not a Hyundai. Those last few Hyundai commercials have been super cringey, IMHO. Sam Wilson or Loki are battling bad guys, and they both take a second to size-up a Hyundai Tucson or Sonata. Oof.

@OmegaDaGrodd - I'm feeling quite rationally triggered by "Uptown" and "Long Island."

I'd like it more of if it was an SNL skit rather than an actual car commercial
