Excitement for Eternals is definitely building following last night's world premiere, and a new featurette has been doing the rounds today that contains a big reveal about the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

No, we're not talking anything too spoilery (we'll leave that to Variety's film writers). Instead, it's confirmation that Superman exists in this shared world! It goes without saying that the Man of Steel is a fictional character rather than a superhero hanging out with the likes of Captain America and Thor, but given Kevin Feige's love of Superman, this Easter Egg doesn't surprise us!

Remember, Feige has said he owes his career to Superman: The Movie director Richard Donner on multiple occasions! That Ikaris/Superman comparison definitely makes sense, and Marvel Studios referencing their similar powersets in Eternals is a fun nod for fans of Marvel and DC alike.

Check out the full Eternals featurette below (the Superman mention comes around the 0:40 mark).

Eternals is the MCU's latest team-up, and features a group of heroes from beyond the stars who had protected the Earth since the dawn of man. When the Deviants, long thought lost to history, mysteriously return, the Eternals are forced to reunite in order to defend humanity once again.

Chloé Zhao directs Eternals, and Kevin Feige and Nate Moore are the producers, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Kevin de la Noy serving as executive producers. The story is by Ryan Firpo & Matthew K. Firpo, and the screenplay is by Chloé Zhao and Patrick Burleigh.

The Marvel Studios movie stars Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Salma Hayek as Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as Thena.

Eternals is set to be released on November 5.
