Yesterday's Phase 4 preview video brought us a first official glimpse of some footage from Marvel's Eternals, including a couple of brief shots of Angelina Jolie's enigmatic warrior Thena.

During a video interview to promote her upcoming action thriller Those Who Wish Me Dead, Jolie was asked for her reaction to the teaser (she wasn't aware that it had been released), as well as her thoughts on Chloe Zhao recently winning the Academy Award for Best Director for Nomadland.

"I was very, very happy," said the actress. "I think she's a special director. She's a really interesting woman and very thoughtful, very serious about her work. I think she's bringing a new voice through her films, and, I think, to Marvel. So I'm very excited for people to see it."

The cosmic superhero adventure stars Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as the cosmic-powered Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Salma Hayak as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as the eternally young Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as the aloof Druig, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena. Kit Harrington will also appear as Dane Whitman, aka Black Knight.

Marvel Studios' Eternals features an exciting new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind's most ancient enemy, The Deviants.

Marvel's Eternals is set to hit theaters on November 4.
