ETERNALS: The Deviants Are Unleashed In New TV Spot Ahead Of Tonight's World Premiere

The world premiere of Eternals takes place later today, and Marvel Studios has now shared another new TV spot highlighting the emergence of the Deviants and a few shots of the superhero team in action.

We're now mere hours away from the world premiere of Eternals, and that means the first reactions to the movie are imminent. It goes without saying most will probably be positive...unless Marvel Studios has somehow enlisted an Oscar-winner to deliver their first bad movie (somehow, we doubt it).

There's bound to be other news coming out of the red carpet event, but in the meantime, we have an action-packed TV spot for you featuring a closer look at this superhero team. The monstrous Deviants also receive the spotlight, and the more we see of those villains, the better they look.

That November 5 release date is fast approaching, and we're bound to see more sneak peeks like this over the coming weeks. However, we're sure you'll be glad to know this one is spoiler-free!

Check out this new Eternals TV spot below:

Eternals is the MCU's latest team-up, and features a group of heroes from beyond the stars who had protected the Earth since the dawn of man. When the Deviants, long thought lost to history, mysteriously return, the Eternals are forced to reunite in order to defend humanity once again.

Chloé Zhao directs Eternals, and Kevin Feige and Nate Moore are the producers, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Kevin de la Noy serving as executive producers. The story is by Ryan Firpo & Matthew K. Firpo, and the screenplay is by Chloé Zhao and Patrick Burleigh.

The Marvel Studios movie stars Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Salma Hayek as Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as Thena.

Eternals is set to be released on November 5.

Are they holding back footage for this? I’m feeling so underwhelmed about the stuff on the horizon that isn’t The Batman or Spider-Man. I know Chloe Zhao just won an Oscar, but the big open wastelands aren’t doing it for me visually and I just can’t bring myself to get hyped about Eternals vs Deviants conflict. I’ll wait to see what you guys have to say about it before checking this one out. From what we’ve seen, I much prefer how Ragnarok adapted some of the Jack Kirby visual style when it did.

The Deviants are looking so boring in this movie

The Deviants and Eternals are looking so much cooler in the comics

@WaffeX - agreed. I know their suits are supposed to be Kirby-inspired, but there’s so much dull lighting and washed out color around the Eternals that it’s hard to spot. The Deviants however just look completely different like generic CGI monster villains

Got high hopes for The Eternals. 🙏🏻

And again they chose to highlight a funny quip in a trailer, when would something like that have ever featured in one of the comics? Disney interference again…. Until that point it looks epic up there with Star Wars and just when you think your fire is lite they piss on it 🤦‍♂️

@Spike101 - IKR? That “front row seats” line is just terrible 😖 How many times has that been used over the years? God, I hope the rest of the dialogue isn’t as utterly generic as that. I was cautiously optimistic about this movie but now with that and the generic CGI monsters, I’m worried.

@Tasmaniac - yep me as well. I just get the feeling I’ll be coaxed into the cinema with the promise of epic cinematography and end up seeing some ridiculous Disney family adventure movie with lots of poorly placed humour.

@Spike101 - that's likely not disney, that's just marketing... people have an interest in having a 'good time' at the theater. as we know from most mcu properties so far, they have jokes here and there but the character is not primarily about that.

@Spike101 - Yep. I finally watched Black Widow a couple of nights ago and wow, what a disappointment. It started out so well, with a mature, grim tone but then turned in to a ridiculous CGI shitfest and the tone just went all over the place like it didn’t know what to be. I had exactly the same worry about Eternals before watching it (and this ad), and now I’m even more concerned.

“Their FIRST bad movie”… right. Josh is a Marvel simp. There have been several movies that when they came out they didn’t receive the warmest reviews.

This movie looks interesting, but what’s with Marvel going down their checklist, and hitting every single PC item here? Makes it less appealing…

I thought this was clear with BLACK WIDOW but the run up to ETERNALS has cemented the fact that Marvel has created discourse ecosystem where everyone feels forced to comment no matter how little they have to say. It's like a living and breathing cloud of FOMO that never goes away

I am not sure if anyone has already mentioned but Selma's costume has hints of Aztec/Central American history in it. I could see the Eternals being the 'alien' life that brought civilization to the Earth and in civilizations that had ancient pyramids, like Egypt, Central America, etc... they might have worked more closely with the locals.
This might be a good way to introduce Moon Knight and the "MCU" version of his Egyptian background.

This movie will fail at the Box Office. Nobody really cares about this.
