Eternals has been making headlines over the past 24 hours due to the fact that it's currently the lowest-rated Marvel Cinematic Universe movie on Rotten Tomatoes (it now sits at 63%). It remains to be seen what sort of impact, if any, that has on box office takings, but Venom: Let There Be Carnage certainly didn't seem to suffer from its 60% score. The difference there, of course, is that's a sequel.
It's going to be an interesting few weeks, that's for sure, but a new TV spot for Eternals leaves us with plenty of other talking points. Arishem gets some screentime as he seemingly arrives on Earth; towering over the planet these heroes call home, the Celestial makes for a terrifying sight.
Marvel Studios has previously revealed that the Eternals are broken up into "thinkers" and "fighters," and it seems Ajak falls into the former category as she's forced to use a gun to defend herself against the Deviants (the Deviant that attacks Ikaris also appears to have been changed since that last trailer).
Check out the new Eternals TV spot below:
Eternals is the MCU's latest team-up, and features a group of heroes from beyond the stars who had protected the Earth since the dawn of man. When the Deviants, long thought lost to history, mysteriously return, the Eternals are forced to reunite in order to defend humanity once again.
Chloé Zhao directs Eternals, and Kevin Feige and Nate Moore are the producers, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Kevin de la Noy serving as executive producers. The story is by Ryan Firpo & Matthew K. Firpo, and the screenplay is by Chloé Zhao and Patrick Burleigh.
The Marvel Studios movie stars Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Salma Hayek as Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as Thena.
Eternals is set to be released on November 5.
