In ancient times their relatives where shapeshifters.
It all started when a meteor fell from the sky and landed in the
village where their family lived.
The raidiation from the meteor pieces gave them the power to shapeshift.
Most of the shapeshifters where slaughtered because they where seen as
witches or demons and the meteor pieces destroyed.
But one piece was saved and placed in a ring that grandpa Spears passed
on to his grandson. From that day Joey could turn into every animal or every person he wanted.
