This is my idea for the third Batman movie. This film would take place in 2012. I wrote this to give Batman a more psychological villain. The villain I wrote was unpredictable. This story also contains many obscure and major Batman characters. The story is long, but it will be broken up by illustrations along the way. Some of these pictures are quite large.

December 24th 2011, Arkham Island, formerly the Narrows:
It is the dark of night, all is eerily still. The island penitentiary is cast in a ghoulish haze. Suddenly the still of night is broken by a siren, then a spotlight. A prisoner was attempting to escape. Guards ran with guns held at the ready, streaming from the guard towers. The spotlights swept the perimeter gates and fences. One guard stationed on a tower overlooking the river separating Gotham and Arkham. The guard looked down at the yard tying to spot the escapee. The guard was so focused on the yard that he did not notice the form that was creeping up from behind him in the shadows. He did notice the arm grasping his head and the knife that was at his throat, and then he felt warmth. He felt the warmth slide down his body as the man let him drop; the guard was dead before he hit the ground. His murderer took a moment to appreciate his handiwork, until the spotlight shown on him, temporarily blinding him.

“VICTOR ZSASZ! PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!” An amplified voice spoke out. Zsasz sneered, then turned and ran towards the edge of the wall. He planted his foot at the edge, and dove into the river.
On the outskirts of Gotham, far from the chaos that is Arkham, a party is being held. The party is held at a stately estate, the newly rebuilt Wayne Manor. Inside its grand halls billionaire Bruce Wayne was entertaining numerous guest among Gotham’s elite. Among the guests present were numerous politicians, and socialites, the new mayor Hamilton Hill was talking to two businessmen one was Roman Sionis a rival to Wayne Industries, the other was an obese business man named Cobblepot if Bruce remembered correctly. Among the rest present were Commissioner James Gordon, and one very attractive woman who kept stealing glances at Bruce from across the room. Bruce Wayne acted like the typical partying bachelor, but the truth was he hated things like this, he’d much rather spend time focusing on his night life. He supposed this woman may offer a little distraction. Bruce began to work his way through the crowd towards this woman. When he got to where she was, she was gone. Bruce looked around the room and saw the woman smile at him from where she was. She was currently talking to an elderly man, when she finished she walked off from the man looking for Bruce. Not seeing him she turns around, and is surprised to find him behind her. They introduce each other, she is revealed to be Selina Kyle. She says that she is a charity organizer. They talk for a little bit, getting to know each other.
Across the room Commissioner Gordon is informed of the escape at Arkham. He leaves immediately, but not before a certain Butler could over hear everything. Selina and Bruce meanwhile are enjoying talking to each other. Bruce comments that he may be interested in having her organize a charity benefit, and maybe they could discuss it over dinner. Before she could respond they are interrupted by Alfred. He informs Bruce “Sorry master Wayne, but a situation has come up and it needs your attention.”Bruce turned to apologize but Selina was gone. Bruce instructed Alfred to see to the guests as he left the room.
Far below Wayne Manor was an immense system of caves, and secluded in those caves was a high-tech facility teeming with state of the art equipment. Among the equipment was a highly advanced computer. Bruce stood before this computer as it displayed information about the breakout that it had gleaned from the Gotham PD mainframe. The escapee was serial killer Victor Zsasz, a troubled man, who enjoyed killing with knives. After committing a kill, he would keep tally of his victims by scaring himself with the knife he killed them with. Bruce set the computer to create a list of Zsasz’s known addresses, and associates. While the computer compiled the list Bruce was transformed into the dark knight, for you see Bruce Wayne wasn’t just your average, mild mannered playboy, he was the Batman! He race towards his new vehicle, a lighter more streamlined Batmobile than the Tumbler. This vehicle was also more sophisticated. It had an uplink with his computer, the ability to tap into and computer network, a radio uplink to Alfred, and it could voice controlled. Since he had been accused of the murders committed by Harvey Dent, Batman was being hunted by the police, so he could not have direct contact with the police, but he and Gordon had worked up a system. Batman sped towards Gotham, contacting Gordon and leaving a coded message on his phone telling him the location he needed to meet.
Gordon and Batman met by the pier. Gordon gave him all the info they had on Zsasz. Batman left quickly, Gordon looked around. “I’ll never get used to that.”
Dec 31st Gotham City Police Department:
The GCPD was chaotic, as law officers rushed about trying to avert one disaster or another. Gotham was in the middle of a crime spree, and a gang war. Since Batman was branded a villain crime had surged. And in the wake of Sal Maroni’s death a power vacuum had formed in the Gotham underworld, with nearly every crime boss fighting for a piece of Maroni’s empire, numerous crime bosses have risen including Clemet Carp and Rupert Thorne. And to make matters worse Carmine Falcone was being released from Arkham.
The current news was Zsasz; he had not been seen since his escape, which is unusual with him. Zsasz usually had the tendency to stay in the spotlight between arrests. At the moment Gordon was meeting with a team of the city’s best criminal profilers, trying to get ahead of Zsasz. Gordon survived the group. Several of them had served with various government agencies, before being transferred to the GCPD. One that stood out was Julian Day, an intelligent veteran officer that had previously worked for the FBI for several years. Gordon was glad to have Day back with them. Day had been absent for several months since his family was killed. After Gordon gave them their assignments, he requested that Day stay behind for a few minutes. He asked Day how he was doing, they had not heard from him in months. Day responded that he needed time to the think and cope, but he was better now. Gordon asked Day to accompany him and a few other officers to Arkham; they were to meet with the new head of the facility.
Later they arrive at Arkham.

They are then led to the administrator’s office, by his assistant Dr. Quinzel. She leaves them at the entrance to the office. They enter and meet the asylum administrator, Dr. Hugo Strange. He explains to them the manner of Zsasz’s escape. He recently injured himself in his arm and required stitches, so he was taken to the sick ward. They thought he was completely under anesthesia, but he wasn’t, he somehow managed to fake unconsciousness during the entire procedure. After the nurse had finished, Zsasz bolted off of the table, slit the nurse’s throat with a scalpel, and stabbed a guard in the eye with a pair of forceps. He somehow managed to reach a guard tower, killed a guard, and dove into the river. Day requested a copy off Zsasz’s psych profile to analyze. Gordon, meanwhile questioned Strange further. He inquired as to the condition of Crane aka Scarecrow and the Joker. Strange told Gordon that his assistant Dr. Harleen Quinzel had begun to make great progress with the Joker. And it seemed that the Joker may have some attraction for Dr. Qinnzel, whom he had given the pet name Harley Quinn. Gordon warned Strange to not take the Joker lightly. Later Gordon and Day left the Asylum.
Late, that evening at Carmine Falcone’s penthouse, a meeting was taking place. Falcone was meeting with several of Gotham’s prominent mobsters. Among those in attendance were Rupert Thorne, Oswald Cobblepot, Sterling Silversmith, and Clemet Carp. Each brought their bodyguards, all of who were fierce looking, but none were as menacing as Carp’s bodyguard. The man stood well over six feet, appeared to be extremely strong. The man was afflicted with some type of skin condition, giving him a scaly almost reptilian appearance. But what was most disturbing was that when this “man” smiled it revealed that all of his teeth had been sharpened to points, giving him a sinister, reptilian appearance. Rumor was that Waylon Jones, also called Croc was a killer that was experimented on by Jonathan Crane at Arkham.
The only protection Falcone had was his loyal nephew Johnny.
Falcone was attempting to make a temporary peace with the families. It is also revealed that Cobblepot was the newest money launderer for the mob. They agreed to a temporary truce. Croc told Carp that he had some business to attend to as he left.
Batman was leaping across the rooftops of Gotham searching for a sign of Zsasz. He was in the financial district when jewelers exploded. He shot his grapple across the street and swung down to the street level. There were four men led by a rather large and deformed man, Batman recognized him as Waylon Jones, better known as Killer Croc. Jones ordered his men to open fire on the Bat. Batman threw a Batarang disarming two of the men. Croc dove at Batman as the other thugs opened fire at Batman. Batman threw a smoke bomb at them, temporarily blinding them. He turned to see Croc wrapping his arms around him. Batman felt like the life was being squeezed from him as Croc attempted to crush him. Batman felt two ribs crack as he head butted Croc, this did little to phase the larger man, but it did give Batman the distraction he needed to knee croc in the groin causing him to let go. Before Croc could respond Sirens wailed as the GCPD arrived Croc and three of his men got into car and sped away, being perused by the police. Batman activated his grapple and used t to escape, as the cops opened fire on him.
Jan 1st 12:01AM:
Later a few minutes before midnight. Johnny Falcone, Carmine’s nephew who was present at the meeting, entered his apartment, followed by his date for the evening. Johnny was never bright, he was little more than an enforcer, and he simply followed order without question. He told the girl to head to the bedroom, while he went into the kitchen. As he entered the kitchen he noticed that a steak knife was missing from the knife block. He went to draw is gun, but never made it as an arm holding the knife appeared from behind the doorway, slitting his throat. Johnny dropped to the floor inside the kitchen. A pool of blood grew around him as a figure hidden in shadow silently places a 38. Revolver and a page from a calendar reading January 1ST on the body. The killer pauses long enough to remove a black crucifix from Johnny’s neck before walking out of the kitchen and exiting the apartment.
Later in the day at Johnny Falcone’s apartment: Commissioner Gordon and members of his major crime unit were searching the apartment for evidence. Gordon saw that Day had arrived with another detective, Harvey Bullock, an overweight man who constantly smoked a cheap cigar. Day came over to the Commissioner to inquire as to what happened. Commissioner filled him in on what they knew.
“Can I see the gun?” Day asked. Gordon had it brought over to them. Day looked the weapon over “You said his throat was slit by a knife, most likely a steak knife.” Day said mostly to himself. “Serial numbers filed, handle and trigger taped….” Day turned to Gordon, “Zsasz?” He inquired. Gordon nodded. “The knife is defiantly, the necklace not so much; Zsasz is usually more straight forward than that. And another thing, why kill a Falcone, he used to work for Carmine?” Day looked over the crime photos he was examining “Several serial killers have narcissistic tendencies, so it may have been for attention. And as for leaving and taking evidence…sometimes serial killers will change their MO. I won’t know for sure until I do a little more research.
Across town in an exclusive restaurant, Bruce Wayne was having lunch with Selina Kyle. It is revealed that Bruce is having Selina organize a charity benefit later in the year. Selina says she has an appointment to attend and leaves. She hails a cab and head toward the Red light district. She tells him to go deeper into neighborhoods savaged by urban decay, streets lined with brothels, and other unrepeatable establishments. She stops in front of a dilapidated building and entered it.
A few blocks away a man with a knife was throwing two trash bags dripping a red liquid into a secluded dumpster, the camera is fixed so the man’s upper body and face are never revealed.
Bruce Wayne is attending a meeting of board of directors for Gotham’s largest bank. They were discussing whether to allow Carmine Falcone to reclaim his seat on the board. Bruce spoke his objections, but was opposed by Roman Sionis, who owns a rival corporation; Roman was able to convince the others to allow Falcone to return. Bruce promised that he would take this news public.
Later that night on top of GCPD headquarters: Gordon gave Batman a copy of everything they had, including a report by Day. Gordon told Batman that Day had some theories about Zsasz being the culprit. Batman looked at Gordon before leaving “If Zsasz follows his usual pattern he won’t strike again for about a month. Gordon do you trust Day?” Gordon looked down for a moment, and said “Yes he’s good at what he does, and at least he doesn’t just disap….pear” Gordon finished seeing that Batman had already vanished.
Sunday January 22nd:
There has been no sign of Zsasz since New Years. Gordon and his men were busy trying to locate Zsasz.
That evening at Gotham Cathedral, a special mass was being held to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Pope Benedict XV’s death. Many of Gotham’s elite were in attendance, including Rupert Thorne and his family. After the mass had ended Thorne sent one of his sons to check the back exit of the church, before the rest of the family left. Frankie Thorne did a quick check of the back exit then he went into the adjacent storage room, he pulled out an old pocket watch to check the time. Before he could pocket it, a knife was stabbed into his chest. Before he could scream another blade was driven through his throat. Frankie slumped to the floor. The killer pocketed his watch, then Frankie drug Frankie over to a cross that was being stored in the room, all the while the killer’s face was not revealed.
A little while later Thorne went to look for his son himself he found him hung from the cross. Frankie’s arms and legs were tied to the cross, with a knife driven through each. And draped across Frankie’s neck was a crucifix with a calendar page attached to it, the very one that was missing from Johnny Falcone.
February 2nd Gotham clock tower:
Oswald Cobblepot’s assistant/ girlfriend was found with her neck slit, hanging from the hour arm of Gotham clock tower, with Frankie Thorne’s watch and a calendar page in her pocket. She was missing a flowered broach.
March 20th Gotham Botanical gardens:
Sterling Silversmith was found dead in Gotham Botanical Gardens on the first day of spring. A flowered broach was attached to his lapel; he was missing a silver cane with some sort of inscription on it.
That evening Gordon and Day were waiting in the now closed Gardens. “Commissioner what are we doing here, we have too much to do. Zsasz is still out there.” Gordon told him to be patient. A gruff voice spoke up from behind Day, Gordon was surprised that Day did not jump, but dismissed it immediately.
“Gordon tells me that you are his best profiler.” Day looked the Bat over and said, “Well I don’t like to brag, but I have some leads concerning Zsasz, oh and Commissioner, shouldn’t we be arresting him?” Gordon looked from Day to Batman and said “You have the right to remain silent, anything you say yadayadayada.” Day turned back to Batman “So you wanna compare notes?”
Batman looks at him “What makes you so sure that it is Zsasz. This doesn’t match his usual MO. And since his escape from Arkham a serious of mutilated prostitutes have been found throughout Gotham, that fits with his usual character, perhaps you should be focusing your attention on that case. Zsasz is intelligent but this killer is more inventive than Zsasz. He leaves and takes clues that tie into his future crimes, something Zsasz would never do. ”
Day looked at him, getting defensive “Well several serial killers often go from one form of psychosis to another. Zsasz is apparently transgressing from a hedonistic asocial offender to a mission oriented nonsocial offender.” Batman produced a folder containing the information that he had gathered on the criminal. Gordon looked at the two of them for a moment, “We have to do something, bullock has been focusing on the prostitute killer, the media is working the people to a frenzy over this killer they’ve given names like, Holiday, Calendar Man, whatever, we have to get him before this city goes crazy.”
In the warehouse district along the waterfront: A limousine followed by three cars, pulls up to a warehouse storing frozen meat. Three men disembarked from the vehicle, their bodyguards exited their cars. The group consisted of Rupert Thorne, Roman Sionis, and Carmine Falcone himself. They were met at the door by a guard who led them to the heart of the warehouse. There at a table sat Waylon Jones, aka Killer Croc.
Falcone laid out their offer to Croc: basically they figured that Croc’s boss, Clemet Carp was behind the murders, since his organization was the only one that was not hit. They offered Croc $40,000,000.00 to kill Carp. If the job was successful Croc would get the money, and would be put in charge of Carp’s operation. Croc naturally agreed.
April 1st late that evening.
Carp was unusually uneasy that evening. He never was the most courageous man, but he was the head of one of Gotham’s largest crime organizations. Still, he worried that something was up. He felt like he needed protection, so he placed a call to Croc.
Batman had by that point reached the same conclusion as the mob, and knew that they would send someone after Carp, so he had been spending the last few nights watching him, hoping to catch the killer, or keep Carp from being killed. That evening however, there was a fire across town, while he was busy investigating the arson Croc made his move.
Croc arrived at Carps apartment as requested. Carp offered him a drink, Waylon accepted. Carp turned his back on his right hand man to make the drinks. When he turned back around, the far larger man had walked up behind him. Croc had an evil, animalistic smile on his face. Carp backed up in fear dropping the drinks. “ W W Waylon, what are you--” Carp was cut off as Croc grabbed his throat. “Now boss, why don’t you just call me what everyone else does. Go on say it” Croc said with a snarl as he lifted the smaller man off of the floor, and to his face. Carp tried to get free but Croc’s grip was like a vice. “Croc, CROC… CROIIEEEE!” Outside of the apartment you he snarling and screaming, and then silence.
Batman hurried to Carp’s apartment from across town. When he got to the roof top overlooking the apartment Batman noticed that something was amiss. There were no lights on in the apartment. He is grapple to swing over to the apartment. (This next part may push the PG 13 rating a bit) He silently entered the apartment; he saw signs of a struggle, furniture strewn, and blood everywhere. Batman saw a figure in a chair facing the fireplace. He moved towards it, circled around, and was horrified by what he saw. It was Carp, or what was left of him. His face, neck, and chest had been torn to shreds, and almost looked like they had been chewed. Batman heard a voice from behind him “As the ole’ colonel would say he was finger liking good. Hehehehehe ” Croc lunged at Batman, who dodged. Batman angled Croc in front of the window, and lunged at him. He caught Croc off guard sending both of them crashing through the window, down to the terrace four stories below. Croc took the worst of the fall, but wasn’t down for the count. Batman dodged another of Crocs charges, unfortunately for Croc, he was unable to stop. Croc charged over the edge of the terrace. Batman ran over to the edge of the rail, and used his grapple to snag the falling Croc. Batman felt like his arms were about to be pulled out of their sockets. Croc’s momentum when he was caught by the grapple caused his head to smash through the wall of the building, causing him to lose consciousness. Batman attached the cable to the stone railing. He used another grapple cable to leave the building as he heard sirens in the distance. When Batman reached the rooftop he was on earlier he found the cane and a calendar page with April Fools spelt out in bold letters. Batman looked at the cane and saw that it read “A token of my appreciation, Carp” The cane had been a gift to Silversmith from Carp. Batman knew from his research that Silversmith helped Carp bring his organization over from China.
The police searched Carp’s apartment, and found that somehow a picture of his father had been stolen, what they didn’t notice missing was Carp’s ledger.
Saturday June 16th: Gotham slums.
Since Croc was arrested for killing Carp there had been no more murders, leading many in the media to assume that Croc was the killer, Zsasz was all but forgotten, by everyone except Batman that is.
Selina Kyle was back in the Red Light District heading to that building she visited earlier. She entered the building, walked up the dimly lit stairways, passing passed out drug addicts were they lay. She reached the top of the stairs and heard screaming coming from a room. Selina rushed to the door through it open shouting “Holly!” She saw her friend unconscious on the ground, with a man covered in scars arranged around his body, almost like a score board.
The man held a knife and lunged for Selina. Selina was able to move out of the way, and kneed the man in the groin. He doubled over in pain, as she rushed over to her friend dialing 911 on her cell phone. The man came at her; she grabbed a small lamp and hurled it at the man. In the background sirens could be heard. The man turned from her and ran down the stairs escaping from the building into a nearby alley.
A few hours later Bruce meets Selina at the hospital, were she sits by the bedside of her friend. He asks her what she was doing there. Selina told him that she had a confession. She was not born into wealth, or anything resembling wealth. She was an orphan, raised in the slums. Eventually her and her friend Holly became prostitutes. Holly Became hooked on Meth. Selina told Bruce that a nice old man met her on the street, and took her in. He gave her food cloths, and enough money to start a new life. She told Bruce that she would understand if he felt any different about her. She looked away from him; he turned her head towards her, and kissed her.
Sunday June 17th Father’s Day.
In the slums a manhunt was on for Zsasz, who had been identified by Selina. Zsasz was angry and wanted revenge.
That evening Selina was hosting a fundraiser for the Thomas Wayne foundation, created in honor of Bruce’s father. Bruce said that he would be unable to attend until much later, because of business with the Wayne foundation. In reality Bruce was making his way to the fundraiser, after searching for Zsasz for hours, he felt that it was time for him to head to the fundraiser. At the fundraiser Alfred had just delivered a moving speech about how he knew the Wayne’s. In the crowd a man with a long over coat was moving towards the stage. A woman near him saw a knife come out of his sleeve, she screamed. Batman was on the roof of the building, preparing to change into civilian clothes when he heard the scream. He ran across the roof to the nearest skylight.
Inside the room Alfred saw Zsasz lunge for Selina. He threw himself in front of Selina to protect her. Zsasz stabbed him in the chest as Batman came crashing through the skylight. Alfred slumped to the ground. Someone had called the police, Zsasz slashed at a woman with a cell phone as he ran to the door, carving two fresh scars as he did. Batman chased Zsasz down a stairwell, and outside the building. There they were confronted by several members of the Gotham PD, who proceeded to open fire on Zsasz and the Bat. Zsasz ran right into the fray, getting hit in the shoulder, Batman used his grapple to swing away from the gunfire.
Later that evening Bruce met Selina at the hospital. She informed him that the knife only inflicted a flesh wound, and Alfred will be up and about soon.
At GCPD headquarters Commissioner Gordon was interrogating Zsasz. Zsasz confessed to the murders of the prostitutes, and of a few coke dealers. But Zsasz didn’t take credit for the others. Gordon was going to press Zsasz for more questions, until he was interrupted by a detective. The detective informed Gordon that the Mayor had been killed in his home that evening, after Zsasz was captured. The killer left behind a ledger taken from Carp’s home. Gordon looked at the ledger, it gave shocking details. Mayor was backed by Rupert Thorne, and Carp. They rigged the election so that Hill would win. The ledger also detailed numerous illegal actions throughout the city.
August 5th:
There had been several more attacks since Mayor Hill’s murder. Each attack becoming more bold and gruesome, since the killer no longer had Zsasz’s MO to follow. The killer now dubbed Calendar Man by the media struck with greater disregard for casualties, now he even attacked during the day. In his most recent attack earlier that day he blew up a casino killing exactly 85 people.
This was significant because the amount killed corresponded to the date 8/5. Gordon and Day continued to get to the bottom of the matter, with the assistance of the Batman. Little did they know that this would be his last attack for a couple of months.
October 15th Carmine Falcone’s Pent house.
It was late in the evening. Falcone was paranoid and didn’t sleep much since his time at Arkham. He kept hearing noises. He got up and went to the window, and walked out on the terrace to enjoy the cool night air. A shadowy figure appeared in the doorway behind him. A gruff voice spoke to him. “Falcone, you knew this day would come. Because of you I’ve lost everything.” With that he pushed Falcone over the edge.
That same time, on the roof of GCPD Gordon was meeting with Batman. He explained to him that he was worried about Day. “This is the anniversary of the day his family was killed.” Batman straightened as though something had just occurred to him. “How did his family die, was it a gun, if so what kind?” Gordon looked at Batman, took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes. “They were killed by the mob. They were caught in crossfire from two rival gangs that were at war with each other. One of them was Falcone’s gang, the other, we don’t know, his wife and son were both hit with 38.s.” Batman turned and began running to the edge of the roof. “Get your men to Falcone’s now!” He shouted as he activated the homing device on the Batmobile. “Why what’s wrong?” Batman looked at him from the edge of the roof. “It’s Day, it always Day.” He said as he dove off of the roof toward his waiting car. Gordon raced through the building ordering teams to head to Falcone’s immediately.
Batman raced to the building, but when he got there he saw they were already too late. Carmine the Roman Falcone was dead. Gordon’s men searched everywhere for Day, but couldn’t find a sign of him anywhere. Gordon and Batman searched Day’s apartment. They found pages from calendars, pictures of the victims, newspaper clippings of the Calendar Man’s exploits. But Julian Day was nowhere to be found.
Dec 21st 2012.
The citywide manhunt for Day turned up nothing. He attempted one last attack on Rupert Thorne, a car bomb. Thorne was taken into custody by the police based off of the information found in Carp’s ledger. Batman knew that Day was going to try something before the day was over, he wouldn’t be able to pass this day up. The Mayan calendar predicted a grievous event would occur that day, so this may be his big move.
Thorne was to have a hearing later that day at city hall. Batman knew that this would most likely be when and where Day would strike. Gordon had nearly every cop in Gotham in or around the building. But there was another entrance that few people knew of. There was a utility entrance from the old subway tunnels that led into city hall. If Gordon and his men had known about the place and checked there, they would have found enough explosives to turn the building into a crater.
During the hearing, a man in a long overcoat came through one of the doorways, leaving to guards with knives sticking out of their chests. The guard in the courtroom saw this and went for his gun. Day drew his first and shot the guard. He then approached the bench and shot and killed the judge.
He turned and faced the crowd in the courtroom, pointing his gun at Gordon. Many of these people were corrupt politicians and businessmen. He opened his coat and revealed some sort of vest that appeared to be a bomb. “This is a type of dead man switch. If my heart stops the whole building explodes.” After he finished speaking Batman came busting through one of the windows. “Ah the last member of our little party.” Day said with a sick smile. Batman approached him as Day held up a manual detonator. “Deactivate the bomb, and let these people go.” Batman snarled. Day looked at him incredulously “Why. Why should I let these people go? The world would be a whole lot better without any of us. All of them, this building, even you are symbols of the corruption that has consumed this city.” Day said as he gestured around the room with the gun. “They are innocent” Gordon said approaching Day. “I wouldn’t come to close Jim; there are enough explosives under this building to cause quite a bit of damage.” Gordon stopped and spoke to Day. “Julian if you were going to kill everyone, why haven’t you. It’s because you don’t want to.” Day let out a slow laugh “No Jim, I intend to kill them in a matter of moments, but I didn’t want them to die like my family did, without knowing why. I just told them why so now there is no reason to wait is there?” Day said as he brought the detonator up to activate it. He never got that chance. Batman tackled Day, causing him to fall, and lose the detonator. As he fell his gun fired a shot hitting, Gordon in the arm. Day and Batman struggled on the ground, each fighting for control of the gun. Day was able fire of another shot the hit the wall before Batman was able to subdue him.
Epilogue:
Julian Day was found to be insane and was confined to a maximum security cell at Arkham. He was diagnosed as a sociopath, and something they could not identify.
Jim Gordon was released from the hospital a month later, expected to make a full recovery.
Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle continued to see each other.
Selina began taking several courses in self defense and martial arts.
At night a woman can be seen fleeing across rooftops, in skintight leather.
And this night the Batman can be seen at Arkham staring at a victim of society through a layer of glass, taking a moment to reflect. Had he seen this sooner could he have helped this man….No. The look on the man’s face says it all. He is no longer Julian Day, criminal profiler for the FBI or Gotham PD. He was the Calendar man. Batman turned and walked into the shadows, leaving the man alone to watch …smiling.
Wow I know that was ridiculously long. Thank you for reading it if you got this far. I decided to go with a character that wasn’t really developed. Calendar Man doesn’t have an actual back story per say, so I felt that I could hopefully create a story that would give the character more depth. I also left it open for a potential sequel, by introducing Penguin, Catwoman, and Black Mask in small roles here.
For the actors I wanted the entire original cast.
For villains:
Selina Kyle- This was a hard choice, but I am going to have to go with Kate Beckinsale
Mr. Zsasz- Played by Tim Booth, he played Zsasz in Batman Begins.
Killer Croc- Kevin Grevioux
Penguin- Alfred Molina
Clemet Carp- George Cheung
Rupert Thorne - Joe Pesci
Roman Sionis aka Black Mask- Vincent Cassel- played François Toulour aka Night fox in Oceans 12
And of course the Calendar Man himself- this was a hard choice, either
Dominic West,
or my first choice Steve Buscemi.
I know Buscemi is a little old, but he has the screen presence that would nail this perfectly.
