Casting the Successors to Leading Roles of Popular Film Series

Casting the Successors to Leading Roles of Popular Film Series

There are many popular heroes in film that are so beloved, the studios will continue to spotlight them for years to come. However, the actors that play them won't be able to portray them for much longer. Who should the torch pass on to? My suggestions below!

I am currently working on various fan casts but I will most likely not finish all of them. According to the idea behind it, the lead actor chosen, and the director chosen, I'm asking YOU (my fellow CBMers) to choose and comment which fancasts you would like to see fulfilled, starting with...

Film: 007 James Bond

Director - Danny Boyle

James Bond - Rupert Friend

Film: Indiana Jones

Director - Steven Spielberg

Henry "Indiana" Jones - Matthew McConaughey

Film (Or Possible Netflix Series):  The Punisher

Director - Adam Wingard

Frank Castle "The Punisher" - Justin Theroux

Film: Highlander

Director - Neil Marshall

Connor 'The Highlander' MacLeod / Russell Edwin Nash - Sam Heughan

Film: League of Extraordinary Gentleman

Director - Matthew Vaughn

Allan Quartermain - Gary Oldman

Film: X-Men

Director - Brian Singer

Wolverine - Rhys Coiro

Film: Mission: Impossible (More of a torch-passing one)

Director - Chad Stahelski, David Leitch

Rollin Hand - Jon Hamm

Film: Green Lantern

Directors - Michael Spierig, Peter Spierig

Hal Jordan/Parallax - Kurt Russell

Film: Han Solo/Boba Fett Star Wars Spinoff

Director - Doug Liman

Han Solo - Michiel Huisman

Boba Fett I - Manu Bennett

Film: Ghostbusters (Her Majesty's Ghostbusters)

Director - Edgar Wright

Peter Venkman - Simon Pegg

That's all, folks. Feel free to look at some of my older fancasts; they're usually creative, out-of-the-box choices. Hope you liked some of my picks. Sound off below!

I liked your Gary Oldman & Manu Bennett picks.
Those would be good choices without a doubt.

I wish Bradley Cooper would take over as Indiana Jones,he has the right look, acting chops & can pull off believable action.
Chris Pratt has been mentioned as a favorite for Indy but he should be Jack Burton in a new tale of the Big Trouble In Little China character. He has the look & comedy skills to pull it off. The Rock is attached to that film sadly. He's cool but wrong for that part.
