Death Note Cast: This was one of the sickest animes I've seen and America would be wise to bring it to America as a live action movie. Yeah that was a run on sentence. Here is a cast that won't screw it up.
Light - Evan Peters
Evan Peters is versatile, he's funny, charming, and can play the role of a crazy person. If you've ever seen him in American Horror Story then in X Men you'll see why he was chosen. Light is a calm yet deranged detective with a God complex who becomes obsessed with power.
Sachiko Yagami - Famke Janssen
Mrs. Yagami's role isn't that bigs she's there for her husband and is mostly a house wife. Famke is good at playing the tortured wife, though in this film its mental.
Sayu Yagami - Ariel Winter
Sayu is the prissy little sister of Light who would rather shop than study. Winter plays a nerdy, funny, sarcastic character on Modern Family, but she's not just one dimensional she voices Marina on Jake and the Never Land Pirates and Sofia on Sofia the First, she's done voice work as Carrie Kelley (Robin) and other DC animations. She's also starred in One Miss Call.
Misa Amane - Lili Simmons
Simmons plays a good girl gone bad as Rebecca Bowman and boy does she go bad. She's extremely sexy and looks like a super model. That's exactly what she'd need for Misa.
Teru Mikami - Rick Yune
He's a dark worshiper of Kira who gets control of the power. He's the man to play this role.
Takada - Emilia Clarke
Takada is Light's girlfriend and the public representative for Kira. Clarke has played strong women in GoT and Terminator salvation she's perfect for the role.
Task Force
Detective Yagami - Bryan Cranston
Excellent under rated actor. He's perfect for this role. Not too many people fits this role as perfectly as he does.
Aizawa.- Scott Eastwood
Aizawa is aggressive, tempered, and anxious detective who has early suspicion on the identity of Kira. Dude was excellent in Fury and would defiantly bring out the intensity that Aizawa displays throughout series.
Mogi - Armie Hammer
He has the look, the height, and has starred in The Man From UNCLE playing a cop.
Matsuda - Steven Yeun
Yeun was chosen because he's a pretty good supporting actor. He's shown his ability to be very dramatic which is what is needed for Matsuda who protects Misa and (Spoiler Alert!!!!!) puts a bullet in Kira.
Naomi Misora - Celina Jade
Misora's fiancé was killed by Kira so she joined in on the search to avenge her husband. Celina Jade should be enough to provide the emotional spark needed to bring Misora to life, plus she can kick butt.
Team L
L - Dane William DeHaan
I think he's truly gifted, he's a great young actor who doesn't get nearly enough roles.
Mello - Robbie Kay
His role in Once Upon a Time made him an easy sell room. He has the look plus he's capable of playing the odd chocolate eating L successor.
Near - TY Simpkins
The kid has been in two successful horror films (Insidious) and did good work in Jurrasic World. He's destined for stardom and he would bring out the creepy, dark, toy stacking L successor.
Watari - Frank Langella
Langella was the choice over Michael Caine simply because Cain was used more in Fan Cast. Plus I've recently watched Draft Day where he played an NFL narcissistic owner which was different from the creepy role he played in The Box, and I enjoyed him as Perry White in Superman Returns. He's versatile enough to pull of the dull yet creepy Watari.
Not that you will read past this point, but thanks for taking time out to criticize and/or like this fan cast.
