In Avengers Captain America taunts Tony Stark by saying "Big man in suit of armor, take that away and what are you?" In Iron Man 3 we get that answer.

Iron Man 3 takes place when Tony's demons of the past once again come back to haunt him. This is like a pattern in all 3 of Iron Man movies some misdeed of his come back to haunt him and Tony overcomes it. No matter how much you regret, how much you try to make up things your past will always come for you and hit you the hardest when you are not ready for it.

Well enough of philosophy let me tell you what I felt about this movie. Avengers created a bar that seemed impossible to surpass but Iron Man 3 not only touched the bar it ripped it off in pieces. I am right now feeling bad for Joss Whedon and his team thanks to this movie.

One thing I never liked about Phase 1 movies was no matter how much violence there was, no matter whatever the disaster was there was never a dead body. Iron Man 3 comes over it and this time I got to see blood and dead people. For the first time Iron Man actually killed someone in the most gruesome way you can imagine. For me this is indeed a sign how Phase 2 is going to be.

The humor feels a little bit overdone but it never feels out of place or out of context. The movie makes you laugh and the style is totally different from Joss Whedon's style.

Shane Black has presented this movie as an old school action thriller along with his style of dark humor. The action pieces are nicely done in the most intelligent way possible even recreating a scene from Extremes graphic novel. The dialogues are extremely good and people are going to quote them for a long long time. The finale battle was also epic, I thought that suits will become incharage and the focus will shift there but thank to Shane Black balances it perfectly.

For me Guy Pearce and Don Chaedle were my cocaine. Both of them give brilliant performances. Aldrich Killian looks like a threatening villain and on the same time Don Chaedle never feels like Iron Man's sidekick this time making an identity of his own. Gweneth Paltrow comes as a surprise character development and almost gave me a mini heart attack at the climax scene but thank god it is not going to be that way anymore. Ty Simpkins as Harley was another fun factor and the dialogue exchange with Tony was mind blowing.

Ben Kingsley's character is the dark horse of the film, either people will love him or hate him and I totally loved him. don't understand the outrage about it and how come people have a problem with Chinese Stereotypes but were totally okey with Arab Stereotypes?

Here is a special no to Mark 42, despite being an armor it had a personality of its own, quote a dumb one to say. It never misses a chance to do something that will make audience laugh the guts out.

Anyways Iron Man 3 is the perfect start for Phase 2 and I guess there is a mid credit scene coming after March 3rd, I better wait for it. Iron Man trilogy is one of the best movie trilogies ever made and one of the best Superhero movies. It is Dark as much as it should be and entertaining as much as it should be. Haters gonna hate but WB and Team Nolan must be taking notes from Shane Black right now.

Iron Man 3 end with a note that only Robert Downey Jr. can be the Iron Man and no one can replace him. Now I can only hope that he returns in Avengers 2 otherwise I'll be disappointed.

My rating 5 out of 5. Outstanding

i didnt see it in 3d but i saw it yesterday, i too liked the fact that people actually died cos it's realistic, i would have like to have seen one small armourfght between savin and tony before he saved the people on air force 1. i also feel like ben kingsely was there just to be a big joke which theyshouldent have done. an i didnt see the point of includeing firepower in the film just to blow him up. but overall good film.

To call Mandarin a stereotype shows that you miss the point of the character and/or are operating on 50 year outdated information.

By that same logic then, Red Skull is a stereotype, or for that matter, any foreign villain is a stereotype. Come off it.
