My Ideas For Sam Raimi's Army of Darkness 2

Welcome back! Hope you enjoyed my ideas for Evil Dead 2, and thanks for coming back to read this one! Let's get started.

The tone for this film is a little more serious. Even though this is just a rough outline of ideas, the tone I am going for is more of the horror/comedy of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead II, as opposed to the straight comedy of Army of Darkness.

Just a quick recap: in Evil Dead 2, Mia is sent to a mental institution deep in the woods. The Book of the Dead is sent there also, and all hell breaks loose. Mia fights her way through an army of possessed people , and in the end, is possessed herself. She then disappears into the woods.

Now for Army of Darkness 2. It takes place years after Army of Darkness, and before Evil Dead 2013. Ash is still working at S-Mart, and is a skilled demon hunter. Because he didn't say the words exactly right at the end of Army of Darkness, there is a small portal that demons can pass through. But because of the events of Army of Darkness, Ash changed the time stream. Because he stopped the Army of Darkness, the events of The Evil Dead and Evil Dead II were erased. Professor Knowby, however, is alive and still has possession of the Necronomicon. Ash realizes that the professor is heading out to his cabin to investigate it with his wife. Ash goes there, but it is too late. The professor has read from the book, and now Ash, the professor, and his wife are trapped in the cabin and must fight off the evil force, which has come through the portal to our time. It came from a time before Army of Darkness, and therefore is able to still exist. Professor Knowby tells Ash that the book was buried for ages but was found by a family (the family in the beginning of Evil Dead 2013.) After the events that transpired, the book was donated to his office, where he began to study it. Ash decides that in order to kill the evil force, he will have to use the Necronomicon against it. So he and the professor and the wife begin incantations which will send the evil back for good. They are able to transform the book into a portal, and send the evil force back, but the professor and his wife are killed in the process. Ash, relieved that he has finally stopped the evil, wraps the book in a tight plastic bag and barbed wire (reference to the 2013 film.)
