Well, there were no upsets in round 1 but there were some close matches. Here are the final votes for the first round matches:

Batman (190) Vs Rorschach (21)

Captain America (137) Vs Winter Soldier (5)

Daredevil (106) Vs Elektra (13)

Punisher (101) Vs Catwoman (13)

Black Panther (70) Vs Nightwing (49)

Deathstroke (76) Vs Deadshot (28)

Iron Fist (73) Vs Ozymandias (39)

Hawkeye (65) Vs Green Arrow (56)


The Black Panther/Nightwing and Hawkeye/Green Arrow bouts went back and forth all weekend but both Marvel heroes pulled ahead for good on Sunday. As was expected the top two seeds, Batman and Captain America, garnered the most votes and annihilated their competition. Batman took the most votes overall but we are down to 6 Marvel and only 2 DC contenders left. So, we are down to the Elite Eight!

Iron Fist would bitch fist Batman. Danny can control his ch'i which he can employ to enhance his physical abilities to max human potential. He also got the Iron Fist itself, along with the other powers he is learning from previous Iron Fist.

Final outcome will be a hole in Bruce's heart.

No doubt guys, Iron Fist should be able to take down Batman. I don't believe the "Batman always wins" rule.

Black Panther vs Daredevil should be a helluva match. I'm picturing it taking place in and out of Central Park and the surrounding neighborhood so both are in their elements.

Ah, so the battle rages on!

Hopefully it'll end with Cap vs. Bats. I know CDB will be anticipating the winner.

@Tea: Yeah we should leave Batman out of this he is too powerful.

@Anil: Giving an alternative, Danny has lost numerous times (like Wolverine has) in the past and recently (during the beat down in Hell) I guess that's why people love him or dislike him cause he seems realistic and not as invisible.

You are right about Shang-Chi, but not many people know too much about the guy, I have read 2 arcs on him (When he was in Heroes for Hire and when he was teaching Wolverine). He doesn't not have the killer in him to finish of the fight though.

@Dog It will be a good fight, I'm reckon its the closest for the this particular poll. In comic reality I reckon T'Challa will take it 7/10 times. Reason being is because both have got the same heighten senses (DD having additional radar sense, but BP got a pocket supercomputer). BP will end up being too strong in the end.


You know who I'm interested to see, Karnak from the Inhumans. He is hand to hand specialist able to pin point weaknesses not just in a fight but intelligence work also.

I'd love for a Daredevil/Batman finale!!! They're both my faves ever :))

Batman pwns all cause it's all in the training. He's the only jack of all trades that has mastered every trade.

Can't wait for the next tournement!!!

For Deathstroke fighting i would put him up against Deadpool since they are the same charecter except for costumes and that deadpools a wise ass

i like LEEE's suggestion. lets do a poll with the more powerful characters. not necessarily all cosmic, but people on their level.

like Hulk, Silver Surfer, Superman, Thanos, Darkseid, Annihilus, Quasar, Drax, Nova, Gladiator (the Shi'ar one, Gladiator vs. Hulk would be a fight for the ages!), Beta Ray Bill, Thor, Adam Warlock, Captain Marvel, DC's Captain Marvel (Shazam!!!)

and you could also do an all cosmic one, with the Cosmic Deities. Ego, the In-Betweener, the Stranger, Living Tribunal, Chaos and Order, Darkseid, the New Gods, a Celestial...

i agree, the choices people are making this time around are just people voting with their hearts, and not who they actually think would win. no way punisher beats deathstroke. and daredevil over black panther??? not a chance in hell

@CDB & Shaman - I agree with you guys. I tried seeding them by both popularity and potential match ups but I think Black Panther would beat Daredevil just about any day of the week. Also, remember these guys still have their full arsenal so Punisher would give Deathstroke a run for his money but DS would win in the end, imo.

I'll have to think hard about seedings for the next tournament.

Shaman - not sure if Frank could beat him and walk away, but he is so F#CKING RESOURCEFUL AND RUTHLESS that I envision him being all beaten and broken and still finding that one last second of strength to spit in Slade's face and when the Terminator walks over to deliver that final blow, Frank slides a hand grenade into Slades underpants. KAAAABOOM!!!! THERE GOES DEATHSTROKE AND PUNISHER BLOWN TO SMITHEREENS!!! Well, that's my take, cause Frank would never go down like no PUNK!

i look at it like this. in Daredevil vs. Punisher, every time in that series that they fought, Daredevil ripped him a new one. just beat his ass with no problem whatsoever. so i don't see Deathstroke having too much trouble with Frank.

That ESPN one is a joke. Riddler over Sabretooth? I put a comment on there but it got removed. Probably because I put a link to here on it.

I still think Iron Fist wins over Batman at least 6 out of 10 times.

In a straight up fight I take Iron Fist over Bats anyday. Fist is superhuman. Batman isn't end of story.

Other than that I picked DD, Deathstroke and Cap.

eta @Dogs This would be a cool reoccuring feature and I second Lee's motion for a Cosmic Power level throwdown!

CDB & Dogs- Actually, Daredevil's training kinda exceeds Black Panther's. And as for powers, they're pretty much equal. The fight could go either way depending on home turf. I still think Daredevil has the upper hand for the same reason that i think Batman has the upper hand against Iron Fist. Power isn't everything, training accounts for alot. If power was the deciding factor, Shang Chi would never have defeated Iron Fist yet such is not the case. But both would be amazing fights to see which could go either way for countless reasons. Punisher vs Deathstroke... not so much. Punishier ain't no bitch meaning that he wouldn't go silently into the night. But you can bet your ass he'd loose.
