I finally got around to casting the Big "S" !
After this I'm planning on doing a DCU cast.
Thanks to Comicvine and IMDB for the info........
I have a couple of picks for Supes, It's hard trying to find the perfect person to portray the greatest and most well known superhero of all time.
Superman
Superman is one of the few survivors of Krypton and is one of the most famous and powerful superheroes. He grew up on Earth and hides behind the guise of Clark Kent, reporter for the Daily Planet.
Joe Manganiello (True Blood,Spider-Man)
-He's one of my favorite picks for the role.He has stated many times especially at Comic Con that he would love to play Supes one day.He has the physical assets down and he's wonderful on True Blood.
Aiden Turner (All My Children)
-An Unknown. He recently has been linked for the role of Spartacus on Blood and Sand replacing Andy Whitfield.
Henry Cavill (Stardust,The Tudors)
-A fan favorite for the role. Even though he isn't as "big" as the other guys on this list, but he could probably gain all the muscle and camera work to show he's taller.
Armie Hammer (Social Network)
-He stole the show in The Social Network. He's also a fan favorite for many roles such as a young Bruce Wayne (which he was cast as way back when) and Cap.But I think he is more suited for the big blue boy scout.
Josh Pence (The Social Network,The Algerian)
-Armie's body double in The Social Network, his role was technically stolen from him since he actually read and said all of the lines.
Also have two gals for Lois.
Lois Lane
Lois Lane is a prize winning reporter for the Daily Planet and the wife of Superman/Clark Kent.
Michelle Monaghan (Eagle Eye,Made of Honor)
Anne Hathaway (Get Smart,Love and Other Drugs)
Jimmy Olsen
Jimmy Olsen (full name James Bartholomew Olsen) is a fictional character who appears in DC Comics’ Superman stories and is considered to be his best friend.
Seth Numrich (Gravity)
-He starred in the STARZ series Gravity. He stood out to me, I tried figuring out what comic character he could play I was thinking Iceman, but turned out casting him as Jimmy.
Perry White
The editor of the Daily Planet, the newspaper where Clark Kent (Superman) works. A hard taskmaster, but a very loveable character.
Alec Baldwin (30 Rock)
Cat Grant
Cat Grant heads the Entertainments and Arts section of the Daily Planet. She recently returned to Metropolis from Los Angeles, she had to get away from Metropolis when a (recently revealed) robot Toyman killed her son.
Alicia Silverstone (Clueless,Batman & Robin)
-She has to make up for that crap performance she did in B&R.
Johnathan and Martha Kent
Superman's Adoptive parents.
Harrison Ford & Meryll Streep
Mon-El
An explorer from the planet Daxam who sacrificed himself to save Earth, Mon-El was a member of the Legion of Superheroes and befriended Superman. Now as Superman is absent on Earth, Mon-El has stepped in to become the new guardian of Metropolis.
Matt Lanter (Clone Wars,Vampires Suck)
-He plays Annakin on Clone Wars, and does an awesome job ! He also starred in Vampires Suck. A bunch of dudes on this site have casted him as Superboy.
I got two choices for Power Girl.
Power Girl
Power Girl is a Kryptonian, a member of the Justice Society of America, and one of the few survivors from Earth-Two after the Crisis on Infinite Earths. She is actually Kara Zor-L, the Supergirl from Earth-Two.
Elisa Cuthbert (Girl Next Door) or Jennifer Ellison (Phantom of the Opera)
-Elisa Cuthbert is a great actress, and although she doesnt have the er "assets" of Power Girl she would play her well.On the other hand I havent really seen Ellison act but she deff has the "assets".
Super Boy
Superboy was once the young Clark Kent, but today he is Conner Kent. Conner is a clone consisting of DNA from Lex Luthor and Superman.
Penn Badgely (Easy A,Stepfather)
-I cast him numerous times as Superboy and to me the only guy that could play him.
Pete Ross
Pete Ross was the Vice-President of the United States under Lex Luthor. After Lex was indicted Pete became the President. He is currently divorced from Lana Lang and living in Smallville once again.
Tobey Maguire (Brothers)
Supergirl
Among the many incarnations of Supergirl, the most prominent and current "Girl of Steel" is Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin and last survivor of Krypton's Argo City.
Teresa Palmer (Sorcerers Apprentice,I AM NUMBER FOUR)
Steel
Originally, Steel mimicked Superman's powers with technology. He built a bullet proof suit of armor whose computerized pneumatic exoskeletal joints gave him superhuman strength.
Boris Kodjoe (The Undercovers,RE:Afterlife)
Lex Luthor
Lex Luthor is one of the most gifted beings alive, whose hatred of "interfering aliens" pushes him down the path of a sociopath. Known for his "ends justifies the means" approach to life, his single-minded and often brutal focus puts him at odds with Superman.
Paul Bettany (The Tourist,Legion)
-A Fan Favorite.I really want to see what Bettany could bring to this role.
SuperBoy-Prime
With a twisted sense of justice and morals, the Superboy-Prime blames the corrupted and ineffective heroes of post-Crisis Earth for his lost destiny as the "Universe's Greatest Protector": Superman.
Tom Welling (Smallville)
-I for one never want to see Welling as Superman. But I think he would be perfect for Prime, never being able to actually be Superman.Sounds just like Welling !
Maxima
The alien Empress of Almerac was in need of a mate worthy of ruling alongside her. When Superman refused, Maxima used her psionic powers in several attempts to convince him. She became a valued member of the Justice League America and Extreme Justice.
Kelly Macdonald (Boardwalk Empire,No Country for Old Men)
Toy Man
Winslow Schott is a misunderstood villain that uses toys as weapons as the Toyman. He believes that it is the adults that are ruining the world for the children.
Oliver Platt (Bored To Death)
Parasite
Rudy Jones is a janitor of the Daily Planet. One day Lex Luthor, as part of a daily "LexCorp Lottery", in which he selects one person from the crowd formed outside the LexCorp building to provide them with a new life, chooses Rudy. Inside LexCorp, Rudy eats a donut which had been accidentally spilled with a purple toxic material. This transforms him into the Parasite, subsequently going on a rampage in Metropolis until he is stopped by Superman.
Ted Levine (Shutter Island)
-In Secret Origin,Parasite is more fat and older than his previous incarnations.Ted Levine could totally portray a menacing and creepy parasite.
Solomon Grundy
Solomon Grundy is a reanimated corpse. He has had many appearances in which he has different levels of strength and intelligence.
Derek Mears (Friday the 13th) & Clancy Brown, voice
Mongul
The cruel conqueror Mongul once roamed the cosmos aboard Warworld, a planet-sized engine of destruction. Invading countless worlds, Mongul enslaved entire populations.
Michael Clarke Duncan
Metallo
Metallo is a invulnerable cyborg with superhuman strength who uses his kryptonite power source against Superman. One of Superman' most dangerous enemies, if not the most.
Josh Dumahall (Transformers)
-He really needs a role to actually use his acting abilities. He really hasn't had a action role other than TF which he doesn't do anything.
General Zod
General Dru-Zod was exiled to the Phantom Zone by Jor-El after attempting to conquer Krypton. Best known for his catchphrase "Kneel Before Zod!"
James Caviezel (The Prisoner)
-He has said before that he wanted to play Supes, but he is too old now.But He could play one of Supes greatest villains.
I got two choices for the frag-tastic LOBO !
Lobo
Spit out of Heaven and Hell, Lobo is the last Czarnian, and the universe's best bounty hunter. As a boy at the age of 17 he created a plague just to kill everyone else on his planet.
Kevin Durand (Legion)
Jeffery Dean Morgan (Watchmen)
Mr Mxyzptlk
Mr. Mxyzptlk can work a type of power not tied to any on Earth to successfully pull virtually any feat off. He could transform Superman into ashes or erase him from existence, but - where's the fun in that?
Tom Kenny/CGI
Darkseid
Worshiped as the "God of Evil", Darkseid is the supreme monarch of planet Apokolips and the greatest threat to the DC Universe as he seeks to control all living things with the Anti-Life Equation.
Laurence Fishburne (Predators,Matrix)
Braniac
Brainiac is a long time enemy of Superman, having shrunk the city of Kandor. He is a computer who has no physical form but chooses to appear most times as a green alien with no hair, claiming to be the most intelligent villain ever
Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter)
