SUPPORTING CAST

LOIS LANE/COBIE SMULDERS

For this particular film I decided to recast the role of Lois Lane with Cobie Smulders. After seeing her on How I Met Your Mother and the Avengers I just had a feeling about her. She can be the tough reporter and also fall in love with somebody like Superman.
PERRY WHITE/ALEC BALDWIN

He was in the running in my last Superman Fancast but I decided to go with Albert Finney. For this movie however I decided to cast the role with Alec Baldwin. He is a great actor and has that presence about him that is intimidating. He can that tough Editor and Chief of the Daily Planet and also be a "Father Figure" to the younger members of the Daily Planet newspaper like Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Cat Grant, Ron Troupe, and Jimmy Olsen.
JIMMY OLSEN/JAMIE BELL

He's been a popular choice for the role of Jimmhy Olsen so I decided to cast him as the Daily Planet photographer.
RON TROUPE/WILL SMITH

I decided to expand the Daily Planet staff for this movie. For the role of Ron Troupe I decided to cast Will Smith. He is a great actor with a resume of incredible films such as Independence Day, Bad Boys, and Men in Black to name a few.
CAT GRANT/ELIZABETH BANKS

She was in my last fan cast as The Daily Planet's gossip collumnist so I decided to stay with her.
ALFRED PENNYWORTH/PATRICK STEWART

For the role of Alfred Pennyworth Bruce Wayne's trusted butler and "surrogate father" I decided to cast Patrick Stewart in the role. He is a great actor and has done some incredible roles in movies and television such as Star Trek The Next Generation and The X-Men trilogy. And he is a great fit for the part along with Joseph Gordon Levitt as Batman/Bruce Wayne.
CAMEO ROLES
JOR-EL AND LARA/JAMES CAVIEZEL AND MARISKA HARGITAY

They were in my last fan cast as Superman's biological parents and after getting good reviews on them I decided to stay with them.
GENERAL ZOD/VIGGO MORTENSON

I decided to have General Zod appear in a flashback leading his troops against the forces of Darkseid. And for the role I chose Viggo Mortenson. He is a great actor and can fit the role that is of a Zod before becoming that evil character we all love to hate.
LEX LUTHOR/ERIC BANA

He was in last fancast as Brainiac and in this one I casted him as Lex Luthor. Lex has a small part to play in this film because it is mainly about the formation of the Justice League and Darkseid's invasion of Earth.
CHECKMATE AND THE SUICIDE SQUAD.
AMANDA WALLER/VIVICA FOX

The role of Amanda Waller has been played by Pam Grier in Smallville season nine and by Angela Basset in The Green Lantern. In this fan cast I casted the role with a new actress Vivica Fox. She has been considered for the part in other castings so I decided to cast her in the role.
RICK FLAGG/COLIN FERGUSON

Rick Flagg is head of a special opts team known as The Suicide Squad. For the role I cast Colin Ferguson. He is a good actor and is the right age for the role of a military commander which this role is.
SARGE STEEL/TIM ROBBINS

He is a great actor and has been a popular choice for the role.
DEADSHOT/ADAM BALDWIN

I've always wanted to cast Adam Baldwin in a live action version of a Superman film and when it came to the role of Deadshot he was who I thought of.
HARVEY BULLOCK/MICHEAL MADSEN

Harvey Bullock has appeared in mainly the Batman comics and has been referenced in Batman the Movie by Tim Burton and Batman Begins by Christopher Nolan and in this fancast I felt it would be great to have the Character in person and the actor I chose for the role Micheal Madsen fit the part and has been known for playing tough guy characters in films that he has done.
MAXIMA/DANNEEL HARRIS

Maxima has never been explored in the Superman Mythos outside of just the comic books. She has appeared on one episode of Smallville and also on Superman the animated series. And I decided to bring her in with The Suicide Squad and Danneel Harris seems to be the right fit for the part.

Well that's my fancast for part two. Part three will be up tomorrow with the cast for Apokolip's Elite. Please feel to comment and rate this part of the fancast.

I like it. A lot of great talent here! I like the idea of really using the Daily Planet employees but Will Smith would never do a role so small at this point, he only does big roles for big money.

Thanks for your comments in this part of the fancast and thanks for your comments on Will Smith. I know that would never do a role this small but I just had a feeling about him as the character. Even though the role os small in this film he would have a bigger role as a "frontline battlefield reporter". Litterly covering the action that is taking place. Please be sure to check out Superman Legends Fancast Part One The Justice League.
