Superman Man Of Steel 10 things I want to see in Zack Snyder´s Man Of Steel

MAN OF STEEL: 10 things I expect to see in the Man Of Steel Movies.



1) Super Man The big blue boy scout.

This is integral to Superman´s character and is what differentiates him from other Superheroes. Although I love the direction Zack and co seem to be going with, having SM exist in a dark, gritty and more realistic world, I don´t want that to be to the detriment of the character. I just hope we go and see a Superman movie, where the character is updated, rather than changed into Batman in a superman costume. Zack is a very talented director, I love what he did with The Watchmen and I believe he can do it.

2) A tie in to Justice League Movie.

This is a great opportunity for DC/WB to distinguish themselves from marvel and make Superhero movies with a lot of integrity. I think if DC WB take the same approach to the rest of their charters as they did Batman and the upcoming Superman, it would daring and some very great works of art will be created. I know some think that is difficult, but with a little imagination, I think it can be done. No more Green Lantern like movies and more Bat Man Begins please.

3) Set up future villians: Lex Luthor Braniac

Lex Luthor and Braniac are the logical villains for a second movie. I really agree that Lex should not be in this movie. But I also think that those who don´t want Lex back because he´s human and not a real match for Supes´ are very mistaken. LL is a brilliant character in the right hands and he is Supes´ Joker. he´s essential to the Superman mythology and a darker grittier take on him would be fantastic, especially if it was in the vain of Super Man Red Son. He needs to be a egocentric, genius, billionaire, who is jealous of Superman, not understanding why humanity doesn´t see him as their champion, but instead view this dangerous Kryptonian immigrant as their hero.

Braniac also would be great working with Lex, he is intelligent, powerful and can be a real physical threat to Superman, but also a psychological threat, in that he is the only one left who knows of Kryptonian history. He can tease and torment Kal El with knowledge of Krypton, and his birth parents, all the time manipulating him.

4) Krypton to be really Alien

I want them to go all the way with Krypton, making it a realistic but holy alien civilization. I think it should be made to be visually spectacular, but photo real.

5) Real World

I want Superman to exist in as close a world to ours as possible. I think therefore the military and the CIA and world governments should be highly suspicious of him, and the natural consequences be followed. While the world lords him their champion, Governments aren´t so sure and look for ways to defeat him. This is also how Lex can be brought in.

6) No Krytonite

Not yet. Save it for later; a weakness the government find out much later. His first threats should really only be physical so he can demonstrate his immense power.

7) Clark Kent re-imagined

I still want Clark to be the good old country boy, but I want him modernized. A bit more complex and well rounded. Maybe very political and idealistic, he travels to Africa reporting on genocides the UN does nothing about. And maybe one prat fall, to celebrate the good old times.

8) Action Spectacle

I want this to be the biggest action spectacle ever made. Superman vs Zod has the potential to be that, with visuals that will blow our mind.

9) Zack Snyder

If he does a good job, keep him on, and make him part of the team that oversees the Justice League. I believe in Snyder.

10) Epic Original Score

Loved the Donner music, Superman needs a good track, I hope Zimmerman does a good job.
