This is my first article so I decided to post my version of a movie featuring my favorite super-hero: The Amazing Spider-man! I don't have a fan cast yet but if people like the story then I'll try to work on one along with the sequel.

Anyway here is the story...

We start with Peter getting beat up by Flash for talking to Liz. Gwen steps in like Ultimate Gwen did and is about to fight when Harry comes in threatening to tell the teacher. Flash leaves, Gwen and Harry pick Peter up then Peter invites them back to his place for a study session.

They go to Pete's house see Aunt May and Uncle Ben and go up to Pete's room and after Peter fails to explain some complicated math question they give up and talk about their lives, giving all of the relevant background info on the characters and their lives up to this point. Peter' parents are dead so he lives with his Aunt and Uncle and he is highly unpopular due to his extreme intelligence. Gwen's mother abandoned her and her overbearing father, Police Captain George Stacy. Harry's parents don't speak to each other even though they live in the same house and his father seems to have no interest in his life and does not approve of him in any way.

When it's over, Harry goes home and Pete's folks insist on him walking Gwen home. They have an awkward moment in front of her door and Pete almost asks her out before her dad shows up and ruins it.

Pete walks home smiling and Gwen is angry at her dad, who has no idea what just happened. Next we see Harry at home. He goes in and says hello to his butler and his mom who tells him to go to his father in his study and ask if everything is ready for the school's field trip tomorrow. He goes and Norman dismisses him rudely as he has guests. Once Harry leaves, Osborn is revealed to have been talking to Wilson Fisk and one or two body guards. Fisk is half bribing, half blackmailing Osborn into turning his illegal super-soldier experiments that he has been working on for the government into a super-criminal experiment for him. Osborn takes him into the lab where he conducts experiments with the formula and radiation on animals and insects, the most successful of which being a group of spiders which they plan to show the kids on the field trip the next say. He says it's almost ready for human testing and they say something ominous and the scene fades out.

The next day is the scene at Oscorp's lab where they show off the experiment to the kids. Peter is very excited and keeps talking all kinds of scientific gibberish that no one understands and asking all kinds of questions challenging the researchers and impressing Osborn. Flash and Kong pick on Peter the whole way through and Gwen tries to stand up to them but gets in trouble. During the experiment the spider appears to die and is apparently disposed of but it quickly comes back to life and runs away, unseen. Towards the end of the trip, Peter goes to the bathroom and Flash hangs back to pull one last prank but is caught by the teacher. Peter is relieved and then spots the spider and upon trying to get a closer look is bitten and he steps on it killing it.

On the way out Flash sneaks out to get revenge for being busted and attacks Peter but Pete's spider senses activate and he dodges a ball thrown at his head by Flash who proceeds to chase him. Pete runs away and ducks into an alley. He is then confronted by some thugs who try to mug him but he beats them up and when the last one pulls out a gun, he uses his spider sense to dodge it and ends up jumping out of the way and landing on the side of a building sticking to it with his powers. The thug can't find Pete and runs away.

Pete goes home after a long afternoon of experimenting with his new powers. He gets the whole "with great power comes great responsibility" lecture from his uncle and then is sent to his room.

He starts to go but is stops once they think he's gone and listens to their talk about money troubles. Pete decides he can help and sneaks out to go try and make some money at a talent show he hears about from Gwen who calls to check on him.

Meanwhile at the Osborn house Norman has perfected the treatment and is preparing to test it on one of Kingpin's goons, Mac Gargan. It works and Osborn also gives him some hardware to go with it in the form of the Scorpion suit.

We switch to Pete's point of view again and see him backstage at the talent show where he meets with the producer of the show the guy says his costume is lame and fixes him up with a new one that serves as the basis of the future Spider-man costume and gives him the name. We see Gwen, Harry and some other student, possibly Flash and crew outside waiting for the show to begin discussing whether or not Peter is ok. Spider-man comes out and wows the whole crowd.

At the end the guy refuses to pay him so he leaves angrily determined to only look out for himself. Outside someone gets robbed and Pete chooses to let the culprit run right past him.

Pete walks around for a little bit choosing not to go home just yet. Maybe he stops to talk to Harry or Gwen. But when he does go home, Uncle Ben is dead. He hunts down the killer revealing it to be the same guy he let get away earlier.

He goes home to Aunt May and they cry and Gwen and Harry come to comfort them. At the funeral Pete remembers his Uncle's last words to him. He goes home and makes some alterations to the costume. He does a little crime-fighting and gets noticed. He goes back and decides he needs a way to get around and invents the web-shooters.

Meanwhile Scorpion has been busy. He has been committing crimes across the city secretly but leaving evidence in the form of acid and melted walls and people. We see a newspaper article spinning montage thing with vague pictures of Spider-man and it stops so we see the Kingpin in his office being shown the last paper by one of his stooges who wants to show him another article behind that about Scorpion. Kingpin decides that it might be necessary to do something about this.

Meanwhile Peter goes to school and his friends wonder what has happened to him and why he is changing so much. Flash tries to pick a fight with someone else and Pete knocks him out. Gwen is impressed and Pete works up the nerve to ask her out and she agrees. She or Harry shows Peter an article in the Bugle offering a reward for clear pictures of Spider-man. There is a sudden news broadcast showing an apparent terrorist attack on the Bugle and Pete knows that he's the only one with the power to stop it.

We switch over to the Bugle, where we see Jonah ranting about "this Spider-man character" and then Robbie defends him and Ben Urich points out that Scorpion is more of a threat. Jonah implies that their working together. Then we see a guy in a trench coat with a hat covering hi whole face walk up to the desk where Betty Brant is sitting. The guy is revealed to be Scorpion and he attacks. Someone quickly alerts the police. Scorpion hits the person who called the police and then grabs Betty with his tail. He threatens her with acid if Jameson doesn't come out and face him. Just before he decides to kill Betty Jameson steps out and tells him to let her go. He goes out and Scorpion tosses Betty to the side. A police siren sounds outside and Jameson uses the distraction to run away. Scorpion follows him and catches up as he gets outside. The police tell him to put his hands in the air. Scorpion complies and shoots acid out of his tail, melting the police cars. He incapacitates several of the officers and once again advances on Jameson. With a civilian in the way the remaining officers, led by Captain Stacy cannot do anything. Then Peter arrives on the scene. He and Scorpion do battle. It's intense and spectacular and it ends with Pete suffering only minor injuries.

After the fight, Jameson is looking for pictures which only Peter has. All of the paper copies of everything have been destroyed and none of the Bugle staff know how to run a website but Peter does so he gets a job at the Bugle. Peter goes home and meets Gwen who wants to know why he ran off. He starts to tell her that he's Spider-man but stops because he knows it's too dangerous now. He tells her about his new job (minus the bits about Spider-man) and they celebrate and they kiss.

Jump to a few months later, at graduation. Everyone is happy; Peter, Gwen and Harry are all going to the same college. All of them decide to commute from home. Peter and Gwen are dating. And life is generally sweet.

Next, it's night and Pete is swinging around as Spider-man. He is reflecting on his recent experiences and summing up what he's learned (With great Power..., Must keep his identity a secret, He's a badass). Basically he feels on top of the world, like he could take on anything.

Meanwhile, Osborn has a falling out with Kingpin over Scorpion's failure. After a heated argument he kicks Kingpin out and goes into his lab. In his lab, he takes out the perfected formula that he has secretly been working on.he preps the syringe and injects himself with the contents when his assistant walks in. Osborn freaks out and falls to the ground, doubling over. The assistant rushes to his aid but when he gets there Osborn starts laughing. When he looks up his face has turned green and his ears are now pointed. He laughs even harder and the screen fades to black and the last thing we hear is the assistant screaming.

Well, that's what I got. Constructive criticism would be appreciated. Please leave some comments.

Well...

Good
-Familiar, yet different
-Gwen instead of Mary Jane
-Norman changing instead of wearing a suit
-Kingpin opens up an area for continuing the story

Bad
-Scorpion seems like the wrong villain. Scorpion was originally hired by Jonah to figure out how he got the amazing pictures,
and then was hired again by Jonah to be part of a highly experimental progress. This part of your story is messed up.

Ugly
-Familiar...
-Did Harry, Pete, and Gwen not know each other? Why did they have to explain their lives?
-Doesn't seem long enough to end where it does.

But! It wasn't so bad. I enjoyed reading it, good work and please continue to post
