After what may have seem a breakthrough performance of Vincent Valentine in Final Fantasy VII:Dirge of Cerberus, it looks like the time has come to embed Final Fantasy's dark and enigmatic gunner into Dissidia prominence. He did saved the Planet from Omega and Vincent deserves a piece of the spotlight.
During his brief stint in Dirge of Cerberus as the hero who liberated Planet from the likes of Deepground rogues and Omega, Vincent remains a mystery to both himself and his friends. The way he reflects himself as a taciturn, nonchalant mercenary is enough to award him the Bishounen of the Year while gaining massive popularity from the gaming world along the way.
Forum threads and random discussions point Vincent Valentine as a potential candidate for Dissidia 2 - although the imminent release of the eponymous fighting game is still way ahead of us, Vincent Valentine's gun-slinging skills can make him a favorite amongst players of Dissidia.
Every term paper contributions dedicated to Valentine's relation with the whole Dissidia stuff are making quite the wave in terms of character additions for another re-make. Fan favorites include Zack Fair, Yuna, Genesis, Seymour and Balthier.
According to some sources, Vincent Valentine is a candid choice for any future Dissidia release - his abilities can match like those of Sephiroth and his "limit bursts" can rival those of characters who inherited Trance or any transmogrification skills. After all, Vincent did accomplish a feat that even Cloud failed to do twice.
Still, Dissidia 2 may require some consideration. We are waiting for Enix to make that big decision and hopefully, the announcement would include Vincent and other fan favorites along with the package.
