Ok, so everyone's had that moment of discussion, whether it was when Venom was exposed as villain for Spider-Man 3 or the announcement of the Iron Man franchise. The second you hear the news, you've already cast, written and shot the whole thing in your head (I know I do). What I want is to hear all of yours. Whether it's Avengers, the next Batman or the more obscure, on the horizon Cloak and Dagger, post casting suggestions, plot outlines, or both if you want.
But let's try and keep it realistic. No X-Men sequel with an entire new cast or anything not even vaguely on the horizon *cough*Tank Girl reboot*cough*.

Ok, to get the ball rolling, here's my suggestion for the next instalment in Nolan's Batman franchise.
Set a couple of years after TDK, Bruce Wayne is attempting to stay away from his vigilante alter ego, given the witch-hunt started at the end of the last film. When he feels he cannot go on without Batman anymore, and lacking the anchor provided by Rachael, he leaves Gotham, so as to pursue vigilanteism where his caped persona isn't so well known.
Months spent traveling from country to country lead Bruce back to Bhutan, where he meets a woman on a similar journey, mourning the death of a loved one. the pair agree to travel together, using each other to compensate for their grief. Eventually, Bruce is contacted by Comm. Gordon, who informs him of his daughter Barbara's paralytic injury at the hands of nihilist serial killer Zsasz, whose spree has so far eluded Gotham's police.
Batman's return to Gotham to confront the sociopath results in Bruce's near conversion to Zsasz's beliefs; having lost everything, he begins to question his debt to society as it's protector. Feeling no need for honour or mercy, Batman kills Zsasz in cold blood, and the mysterious woman encourages this side in him. She is revealed to be Harleen Quinzel, a woman of unspecific relation to to The Joker, out to bring Batman to the same moral abyss as his old foe, finishing his work. [No conclusion decided]
Casting
Victor Zsasz - Robert Knepper
Harleen Quinzel - Brittany Murphy
Barbara Gordon - Alison Lohman
