I've often wondered what the Justice League and the Avengers would look like if Marvel and DC shared the same universe. I'm not talking Amalgam comics here, I'm talking all of DC and Marvel's heroes in 1 universe.

Imagine if you would, both Universes colliding. Both Earth's fuse together as 1 and suddenly, we double the population. The United States now has 2 Presidents and double the amount of people in Congress and the Supreme Court. These people have to learn to work together in order to have a more prosperous Union. Marvel's President is a Democrat while DC's President is a Republican. The Democratic President assembles a new team of Avengers to combat threats to the world. While the Republican President assembles a new Justice League, to also combat threats to the world.

The new Justice League is made up of 8 of the greatest heroes both universes have to offer.

Superman: He was chosen to lead the new team, because of his symbolism of hope and the ability to inspire greatness in others.

Batman: Batman was chosen because of his skills both as a detective and his combat training.

Wonder Woman: She was chosen because of her warrior spirit and skills, as well as her royal heritage.

Green Lantern (Hal Jordan): Was chosen because he holds the most powerful weapon in the universe and because of his leadership capable as well as his never say die attitude.

Captain America: As the spirit of the American people, he was chosen to bring military style tactics to the Justice League.

Wolverine: Chosen due to his leadership of the X-Men, his experience as a member of the Avengers, Alpha Flight, Department H, X-Force, and many other groups. The ferocious warrior who is virtually unstoppable and never gives up until every last breath in his body is gone.

Spider-Man: chosen to represent the greatness which can come from the human spirit. He's proven himself worthy on mutable occasions by defeating the Sinister Six, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Avengers etc all single handedly.

Storm: Chosen because of her power over weather as well as her past as a thief, a worshipped "Goddess", Queen of Wakanda and her team affiliations with the X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four etc.

The group is seen as having mutual respect for each other but constantly butting heads. Storm hold a close friendship and bond with Wonder Woman as both hold a royal heritage and are very strong women. Green Lantern can often times be seen working side by side with Wolverine due to their shared fearlessness, commanding natures and defiance of authority. Wolverine often conflicts with both Superman and Batman due to his willingness to take a life, but can often be found training with Batman, Captain America and Wonder Woman. Spider-man is often seen as the annoying little brother of the team, constantly sneaking up on his team mates and his wise cracking nature; but is also dearly loved by each of the members, because of his friendliness, genius level intelligence, and never give up attitude. Captain America and Superman develop a close friendship because of their views on the world and hope. Batman attempts to seclude himself from the team with exceptions of when he's training with Wolverine, Captain America or Wonder Woman; and several times when Spider-man attempts to develop a friendship with him as he sees Batman as his Oldest brother who he has the most in common with but the two have completely different personalities. Superman, though often gets annoyed by Spider-man takes him under his wing much like Captain America and tries to mentor him.

The new Avengers is made up of 10 of the most best heroes both universes have to offer.

Iron Man: chosen because of his vast wealth, genius level intelligence as well as his leadership of the previous incarnations of the Avengers and his experience as Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Sentry: Chosen because his power rivals Superman's.

Ms. Marvel: Chosen because of her experience as an Avenger as well as her leadership abilities, and powers.

Hawkeye: Chosen because of his training as an assassin and thief as well as his experience working for SHIELD and as an Avenger.

Black Widow: Chosen because of her training as an assassin as well as experience working for SHIELD and as an Avenger.

John Stewart: Chosen because of his military back ground, his experience as a Green Lantern and a member of the Justice League. He was also chosen because he holds the most powerful weapon in the universe and with the President who assembled them being a democrat it's speculated and hinted at that it was partially because of Affirmative Action and to help win favor over African Americans, but never directly mentioned.

Captain Atom: Chosen because of his experience in the military as well as member of the Justice League and powers over nuclear energy.

Martian Manhunter: another hero chosen partially because of Affirmative action to gain support with Extra Terrestrials, as well as his time in the Justice League and wide range of powers that can rival Superman's.

Booster Gold: Chosen because of his knowledge of the future, skills and willingness to capitalize on his superhero persona.

Red Tornado: Chosen because of his robotic physiology.

Booster Gold often times can be seen joining Toy Stark at events and commercializing together. Captain Atom, John Stewart, Hawkeye and Black Widow often times spend their R&R time reliving past military experiences with each other. Ms Marvel, Sentry and Martian Manhunter often spar with each other and can usually be found eating together. Red Tornado is seen spending time with Skeets.

The two teams, often come into conflict with each other as Iron Man constantly pushes the members of the Justice League and mocks them. Tony Stark in public, can often be seen scrutinizing Wayne Enterprises and Bruce Wayne to the media as well as pointing out his character flaws when the two are seen together.

As time passes since the merging of the two Universes, political offices are merged to bring the federal government back to the way it's suppose to be. A majority Democrat Congress is elected as well as a new Democrat President. The first act of the new Presidency is to initiate the Superhero Registration Act, which forces all superheroes regardless of whether they're mutant, vigilantes, superhumans, or aliens to register their identities and abilities with the government. The Avengers are ordered by the President to immediately bring in the Justice League for Registration, but are met with hostility as the League battles the Avengers and leave the Hall of Justice for their Watchtower. The League takes over all media outlets across the world to declare that they are no longer The Justice League of America because of the new registration act and that from that point on would be simply known as "The Justice League" and work to protect the world from outside government regulations and control. This begins what becomes known as the DC/Marvel World War.

I really don't see the members of both teams splitting up and joining other people they barely know. Then facing off against their past teammates. If anything both teams would merge into a giant superteam like Marvel Ultimate alliance or Justice league unlimited.
