Speaking to E Online!, President of the CW Network Dawn Ostroff, discussed the likelihood of Supernatual returning for Season Seven after it's impressive run on its new night.

On changing nights:

We haven't officially picked anything up yet, but [Supernatural] is creatively doing so well—and it's doing better on Friday night than it was on Thursday night—so I can't imagine we won't pick it up.

And while official talks haven't yet begun on bringing the show back for another season, she did say that:

No, it's too far out. We haven't started talking about next year, but I'd be shocked if we didn't pick it up.

I don't watch the show personally, but at 6 seasons and most likely counting, it's got to be doing something right. Anyone happy about another season?

Supernatural airs on the CW Fridays at 9/8c.

It's funny how she says we haven't picked anything up yet, when she's leaving in May.Also, why is she leaving at the end of the season?Shouldn't she leave earlier, so the person who takes over after her actually gets to pick the shows they'll be overseeing?

She's staying until the season ends, which means she'll be deciding what shows will be on the schedule next year, even though she won't be at the network.

Anyway, The CW's top shows are The Vampire Diaries, Smallville, Nikita and Supernatural.Smallville is ending, so I doubt they can afford to lose 2 of it's top 4 shows.Makes sense for them to hold on to it.

While part of me is glad that its continuing, since its still awesome, the critique in me thinks it should have eneded at S5, a perfect ending.

This season so far,has been pretty.. oooh wobbly, its been entertaining, but a solid arc hasnt been formed.
