After the roaring success of Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book last year, Walt Disney Studios is all-set to do it again this spring with the arrival of Bill Condon's Beauty and the Beast.

The upcoming film is a live-action retelling of the 1991 animated classic of the same name and will feature Emma Watson (Harry Potter) and Dan Stevens (Legion) in the lead roles as Belle and her Beast. The pair will be accompanied by a talented cast that includes Luke Evans, Emma Thompson, Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellen, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Stanley Tucci, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, amongst others, in live-action and motion-capture parts. 

Disney recently released a new featurette with Watson as she expresses her immense gratitude at getting an opportunity to play her favorite Disney princess. Check it out below:

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.
