Lol I always wondered what a realistic approach to power rangers might look like

Looks interesting. I'm always impressed with what people are able to do for fan projects like this. Out of nostalgia, I'd prefer to see adult versions of the original teenage characters (even if they wouldn't be able to get the same actors). If the original rangers were like 16 or 17, 20 years later they'd be in their late 30s which could work for a gritty fan reboot.

Not bad, I guess. We'll have to wait for the other trailers.

Any giant monsters will be? More Japan Godzilla-style, less J.I.Joe style, please!

I'm all in for an updated version.

Prop to people who do films like this.
No matter the production value they have the heart to make things happen.

So for everyone who think they can do better.. do better, till then please refrain from opening your geek hole.

At least somebody is. That's the only thing that sticks out like a sore thumb.

Much of the trailer focuses on the one female ranger, instead of the team, which seems off for the MMPR dynamic. The blue ranger stands alone - heroically defiant of the pigheaded, testosterone-fueled, misogynistic establishment responsible for leading Angel Grove, and undoubtedly the world, into uncertain doom.

Then, the team lineup at the bottom of the first poster reinforces that this is a girl powered team. We got the star of the trailer out in front, so, we can assume she is the team leader. Then directly behind her, we have the pink and yellow rangers. Their placement is suggestive of their prominence to the team in contrast to the 2 guys in the back. So, if blue is off on a solo mission, relax, we got 2 more leveled headed females to take over until she returns.

I could be wrong, but IMO, it seems like they're going out of their way to say "who runs (or saves in this case) the world? Girls!"

I'd check this out.

Blue rangers as leader? [frick] THAT! I don't care if its a girl or a guy. Red ranger is the leader, blue is second in command. Don't [frick] with that order!

Anyway, I'd like a Power Rangers film. Not MMPR, but their own thing.

@SuperDude001, exactly. I agree totally... Not to start trouble or anything, but, it's kinda hard not to notice. I thought it was just me.

That also doesn't feel right to me too, @yonny616. It's cool they want to put their own stamp on it, but, some things should be consistent with all the others. If Millie Badass is the leader, then she should be the red ranger.

I'll give it a shot when it comes out. It'd be nice to see JDF or other Power Rangers alums make an appearance.
