This alteration from the Baraka we saw in the fan film must be the influence of the producers. I don't mind it, but obviously this version looks more abnormal than the first, which is quite a big statement. Heh, I hope y'all shut up now that you see the supernatural elements being exposed in this.

Apparently none of you pay attention. This series is based on the games NOT the Mortal Kombat Rebirth trailer. They're just using the same guy who directed it.

@TruePunishment: I know but it's still good to rejoice about never having to see Dr.Zane ever again. lol

@darthrageracer: Bringing in "realsim" doesnt require raping the characters backstories or stripping it of it's entire [frick]ing premise!

Plus seeing as how this pic looks Pre-CGI and is mostly practical effects it'll probably look better.

So by you're logic

- Pan's Labryinth

- Hellboy

- Harry Potter

- Lord of The Rings

Those films look like cheesy japan movies by staying true to the mysticism!!!???

@earzmundo: which makes me very happy.

@darthrageracer: Exactly. Reptile was overlooked because of a Brazilian(colored) man playing an alternate version of Baraka to add a more realistic back story. Yet the same fools said nothing about Reptile... Wow, what hypocrisy. Shame on you delude fanboys.

@Jer3miah: I complained about ALL of the things Rebirth changed including E
Reptile and since Baraka is back to being a Tarkatan you can count on Reptile not being Human anymore as well. The Baraka thing was the most ridiculous of the bunch.

None of it was plausible in my opinion though.

@TelaVizion, fishandchips, Darkmatter

@Jer3miah

this prove u have not been on this site long enough people have complain about both Baraka and Reptile in the MK Rebirth.

Never thought Baraka was cool. ever. played every MK game but vs DC. not totally thrilled about the "realism" but will most likely watch it. damn it all.

@wagonburner

its not going to be realistic its going to be like video game universe Jai White confirmed it in a interview. its going to be realisitic world for Sonya Blade, Jax, Kano, etc. but the Baraka and some others will be fantasy

Guys what don't you guys understand about the fact that this web series is NOT rebirth... It is more in line with the release of the new Mortal Kombat video game coming out in April. This will have a fantasy intertwined with realism.
