The Harry Potter films have always been hit and miss for me. As a big fan of the books, I’ve sometimes felt let down by what was included and what was left out of the movies. But splitting the final book into 2 films should avoid that problem… Right?

It most certainly does. This is by far the most enjoyable of the film of the series, and a brilliant send off for the characters every knows and loves. Those who have read the book will know exactly what to expect, but for those who haven’t there are plenty of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat the entire way through.

The acting is top notch, as we’ve come to expect from the stellar young cast, but one who surprised me was Alan Rickman, bringing much more to Professor Snape than we’ve seen in previous films. A touching scene which ties a lot of things together really allows for Rickman to show just how an amazing actor he is, and bring some real emotional depth to the character we’ve all come to love to hate.

If you’ve seen all the trailers, and thought ‘well there can’t be much left to see’, you’re dead wrong. Some of the more spectacular sequences haven’t even been touched upon in the trailers, one scene in particular will take your breath away.
